Comments about Product: Not sure why, but these had hardly any blooms for us. Lots and lots of tall greenery, but very little in the way of white flowers. Each stalk just had one tiny sprig of flowers and the blooms have been widely spaced so it never looked very festive. We just watered according to directions (didn't add any fertilizer or anything that might explain it).
Comments about Product: I bought this as a Christmas present for my sister and she loved it. The container welcomed guests as they entered her home. She had to remember to water it to keep it looking nice.
Comments about Product: Although I've bought your quality items before, the service and ability to handle this problem were addressed, the service did not come through. First, the 1st gift said it was available, then it was not, so I had a order a 2 no gift. The 2 me gift arrived post Xmas and had no mention anywhere where the gift came from. Finally, I asked my sister yesterday and she said she received it but didn't know who thank. It was a disappointment since it was Xmas...
Comments about Product: I bought this as a birthday gift for my mother-- she loves it!!! The Paperwhites are nicer than cut flowers because she can watch them grow and enjoy them for a long time, and as of this writing they are still blooming and smell wonderful. They also came in a decorative pot which is a nice touch.
Comments about Product: These were sent to a family member in an Assisted Living home for Christmas. She loved them - nice container, all bulbs bloomed - and they really brightened up her room.
Excellent price compared to other web sites. Would highly recommend this product.

Comments about Product: I've sent this bulb arrangement for 5 years in a row as a gift for my close friends. This gift is fragrant, beautiful, and unique. People watch the bulbs grow and when the flowers bloom...WOW, the whole house smells incredible. I've had two friends say it was their favorite gift.
Comments about Product: I purchased this as a Christmas gift to a very good friend who is the exact opposite of Dr.Greenthumb. It arrived promptly to her house within a few days. Upon her surprise the bulbs started growing within days! And the blooms were gorgeous.
Comments about Product: Was really excited to find this gift for family and friends to brighten up winter days. Ground delivery method left one box handing from the mailbox in frigid temperatures, rather than delivered to door, despite specific delivery instructions provided. I also requested that a message be included with the delivery, but none of the three orders arrived with any messages, leaving the recipients wondering who the gift was from.
The plants themselves were well established, which was good so that the recipients can enjoy blooms sooner, but the plant spacing was very un-even with a several bulbs in one area, and only one bulb in other areas. Time will tell how they eventually turn out.
Comments about Product: The planter became a mystery gift for four different families when the shipper failed to include my greeting and name. One of the recipients had to call Plow & Hearth to see who had placed the order. They said, "Our mistake" but there was no follow up to me.
Comments about Product: I bought this as a gift so I have not seen it. For me it was a great gift for my mom because this is our second christmas without our grandma and she loved to get flowers for christmas and it reminds us of her.
Comments about Product: All three representives I spoke with were helpful and chatty. The amaryllis, the tulips and the paperwhites arrived over a span of six weeks. The flowers lasted a long time. I was very satisfied with the service, the price and the comments from those who received the bulbs.
Comments about Product: I bought this product for my elderly mother who lives in an apartment and loves flowers. These are very low maintenance and just last week she told me the last bloom finished. A very cheery windowsill item for a gray winter day.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
