Comments about Product:
There were no yellow flowers and the arrangement looked fairly dark instead of "Spring like". [...] Upon receiving it I was disappointed in the lack of color used.

Big disappointment
Comments about Product:
The wreath was beautiful when it arrived. I hung it on my front door that faces east and gets some morning sunlight. Within a very short time frame the natural leaves in the wreath turned brown and ugly. It's quite pathetic looking. I would certainly not have purchased the wreath if it could not be exposed to sunlight. Considering the cost of the wreath ([$]) it would be considerate to warn potential buyers that the wreath is quite fragile and should not be exposed to sunlight.

makes any doorway stand out
Comments about Product:
In early April, following a long, hard Minnesota winter, I like to hang the pansy wreath on the door facing inside our living room to remind us that Spring is eventually on the way. Pansies are such a fun, bright flower; the wreath is bright and cheerful - great quality for the money.

Description not Correct
Comments about Product:
The wreath description is: "Beautiful indoors or outside protected from the elements." I bought this for my mother's front door. When she opened the box it specifically said "For Interior Use Only". I would not have purchased this product since I knew it was going to be outside in a protected area and was mislead. My mother had already thrown away the packaging before I could return it.

I use it on the front door, inside the glass screen door. It looks very natural, and has a very nice scent when entering the house. Very nice for spring! Especially nice for a cottage feel.

I have my wreath on my front door, sheltered from the elements. After such a long, hard Winter it brings a welcoming sense of Spring to my home.

Too pale, too dry
Comments about Product:
When I opened the box, there were pieces of dried flowers everywhere. It continued to "shed" after I hung it up. I had planned to put outside, but the instructions that were not available at time of purchase indicated indoor use only.

The Olla: A Brief History

Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.

When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.

The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.

Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!

How it Works:

Water is pulled directly through the terra-cotta!
