I LOVE IT ! ! ! !
Comments about Product:
Purchased item for trip to Ireland, where the weather is likely to be 50's and rainy. My typical wrap is not water resistant. I have worn this item every day since it has arrived and I have been warm enough in this single digit weather and I get multiple compliments on it ! It could be the particularly cold weather we are having, but it is more prone to static electricity than my other wraps, so I just spray it with a static cling eliminator and it's fine. I highly recommend this item !

Reversible Cape with Hood
Comments about Product:
Prompt delivery via US Postal Service. I have been looking for something like this for years! I had a Cloak/Cape years ago and it was perfect for me since I don't like to drive with 'bulky' clothing on.

Comments about Product:
Overall, appreciate it being a dual-use product, i.e., good for cold or rain. Shipping charges exorbitant; especially with so many merchants offering free shipping at this time of year.

I have purchased 7 of these capes!
Comments about Product:
I purchased 2 of these capes several years ago and wear them all the time. They are just like taking your blanket with you. I especially like the hood. I can't tell you how many compliments I get on them as they are elegant. I bought 4 of them last year for my teenage nieces and they love them. The only problem I have had is the buttons fall off and even though I know that I still love them.

Love It
Comments about Product:
I loved this when I had shoulder surgery and had trouble putting on a traditional jacket. Now, it is my favorite. The soft fleece is such a nice feel on the skin, and the outer layer provides great protection from wind and rain. Mine has been washed several times, and I just spray with a little scotchguard, and the water still beads and protects. Have a extra in the car as an emergency blanket. The hood is awesome protection. Buy two of these. most similar ones have fleece both sides, but the outer shell makes this versatile. When sitting, it covers your whole body, like for games.

Good quality
Comments about Product:
Will return this one and exchange for red/black. The camel color is far too light for my preference. Expect to get plenty of use in the winter months. Probably too heavy for spring or summer here in South Louisiana

Love my cape!
Comments about Product:
The cape is lovely and well-made. I think I will really enjoy wearing it. But I was more than a little surprised (and disappointed) when all the black buttons fell off (plink! plink! plink!) the first time I wore it!

Very nice quality
Comments about Product:
This cape arrived and I loved it - excellent quality and exactly as described . Unfortunately, it was not flattering on me . I'm not sure if the microfiber side didn't allow enough drape because capes usually work out for me. I'm 5'9 and an XL and had plenty of room and length. It may be too much overall if you're small. Regardless, if you like it, it's worth a try because it really is unique and very well made -- it would have been my go to coat anytime I wanted to be comfortable or it was wet outside. It has plenty of room for heavy clothes underneath too.

The Olla: A Brief History

Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.

When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.

The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.

Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!

How it Works:

Water is pulled directly through the terra-cotta!
