    I put together most items where "some assembly is required" This came all in parts & the screws were not the right length. I gave this gift for my husband to my husband to put together. He worked over 2 hours with a stop to the hardware store for the right length screws. Had the description stated "difficult to put together" I would not have purchased it. Once put together, it is really is a lovely, sturdy stool.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
