Our granddaughter is very independent. She likes to pick out her apparel, which can be very frustrating for her parents when she wants summerware and it's cold outside. She loves being able to monitor her weather station and now makes weather appropriate choices. It has decreased daily arguments with a 4yr old and reinforces weather appropriate attire and her sense of independence.

I gave this to my 8 year old granddaugher for Christmas after the family moved to upstate New York. It sits on her dresser and every morning before she gets ready for school, she tells the family what the reading are when they gather at the breakfast table. They all use it to decide how to prepare for the day. It's a must have for kids (grown ups too!) no matter where they live. I'd buy one for every child on my Christmas list!

I was disappointed in this product because it really doesn't give much information, which was clear in the promotional material, I guess. [...] I gave it as a gift, and it requires installation (running a wire and sensor outside), although minimal, but it's not the ideal gift.
