Comments about Product: Bought 10 of these as Christmas gifts for my grandchildren and others. All of them have them connected and enjoy them. I have always had a love of meteorology and hope to pass that on to others. They can look at them in the morning to see how they should dress for the day.

Comments about Product: The kids check the "child" every morning to see what outfit "he" is wearing. It helps in choosing the right outfit for the day. They love it and so do I

Our Grandson Was Overjoyed...!
Comments about Product: The look on our grandson's face Christmas morning said it all! His Mother assured us this gift would be used daily as our little six-year old "grand" dressed for first grade. It sits atop his dresser and is the first thing he sees when he gets up. Thanks for making this gift choice such an EASY one to give

wonderful gift for grandchild.
Comments about Product: Our granddaughter is very independent. She likes to pick out her apparel, which can be very frustrating for her parents when she wants summerware and it's cold outside. She loves being able to monitor her weather station and now makes weather appropriate choices. It has decreased daily arguments with a 4yr old and reinforces weather appropriate attire and her sense of independence.
Comments about Product: Kids received for Christmas and love checking it every morning to see how they need to dress. Accurate time/temp - easy to read. Remote held up outside during harsh winter months. Liked so much purchased for friends.
Best I've ever seen!
Comments about Product: I gave this to my 8 year old granddaugher for Christmas after the family moved to upstate New York. It sits on her dresser and every morning before she gets ready for school, she tells the family what the reading are when they gather at the breakfast table. They all use it to decide how to prepare for the day. It's a must have for kids (grown ups too!) no matter where they live. I'd buy one for every child on my Christmas list!
Adorable & accurate!!
Comments about Product: Great weather learning tool for kids
Accurate for both indoor and outdoor temperature
My kids love to check the "weather guy" every morning and it helps them pick out their clothes each day!
Not quite right
Comments about Product: I was disappointed in this product because it really doesn't give much information, which was clear in the promotional material, I guess. [...] I gave it as a gift, and it requires installation (running a wire and sensor outside), although minimal, but it's not the ideal gift.
Tell your friends what you really want this year!

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
