This is the cutest little music box but it is bigger than I thought it would be. I was expecting a tiny box but was thrilled that it is bigger than that about the diameter of a coffee mug so you can see the figures well and the detail is great. I will be ordering more of these early and save for next year as presents!!!!!!

Compared to other music boxes this music box had a fragile hinge and must be handled with care. The loose hinge on the lid was of concern, especially for use with younger children. Most definately a child under the age of 8 should be well monitored when enjoying the delightful movements and music.

These are beautiful little music boxes. I like the train best -- it has a nice dark rich color and looks expensive. These are sturdy enough for little kids, and they sound great and entertain kids of all ages. I'm putting them in my Christmas baskets to be brought out by family at Christmas time for years to come.

i was unimpressed with its appearance. much of it was plastic, the paint on the inside parts was poorly applied, and the wood casing was dented in a few places. looked like something from a dollar store.
