I am disabled and use this stool for quick sit-down breaks in the kitchen. It is perfect so I can stay up and work or bake longer. It's easy to clean and looks brand new with a little orange oil rub. I like having no back so I can approach it from two directions. I plan to add slides to the bottom of the legs so it moves easier. It was worth the price which was a bit more than I'd budgeted.

We use it in the wet room, and in the kitchen. Attractive and comfortable, the wood is soft and scratches easily -- very noticeable on the darker color. I would not recommend this product in a formal setting due to that reason only, however it is very functional, and right at home in a more rustic or utilitarian setting such as a wet room or kitchen, large or small, where any "scratches" add character.

I purchased the expresso colored counter stools based upon the reviews and the great price. These exceeded my expectations and were simple for my husband to put together in about 15 minutes each. Well made and actractive design. You won't be disappointed!

I was on the fence about buying this, but all the good reviews convinced me. I'm glad I did! It's a fun addition to the house and quality construction. Very happy with it.

These are absolutely beautiful . So well made, solid and functional. They match my kitchen island perfectly. So glad I bought these. Everything I buy from Plow & Hearth is better than I had hoped. One of my favorite companies!
Exactly what I needed.
About Me Casual Cook
I,ve been looking forward to purchasing these stools for a long time. Now that they are here, they are even nicer than they look in the catalog. Nice construction, but one screw was not put in properly. The color is great! Only disappointment was a guest immediately scratched one and the dog tried to eat it. It has several scratches now and old english didn't soak in to cover them up well. I hope to replace it maybe next year. I am very happy with them.

The stools look great and are very well constructed. Easy to assemble. Took maybe 10 minutes each.
Sturdy and Aesthetic
These stools are well made and assembled without any redesign/modification on my part. All the hardware and tools were supplied and all the predrilled holes lined up. The stool is heavy and so unique in design that it can be stored/used almost anywhere. When you lift it from the cut-outs in the seat you know it's well made. Another nice feature is the fact the bottom rungs, where you place your feet for comfort, have metal plates affixed so as not to wear the wood beneath.
About Me Avid Cook
Love that these stools fit under our bar area without sticking out into the room too much. Very sturdy, too. We had a bunch of family here over the holidays and these became some of the favorite seats in our great room because they are so comfortable. The only down side was they were a little more time consuming to put together than I expected. Not hard to put together just took a little time. Overall, a great buy that we have not regretted in the least!
Great bar stool
from Sandy, UT
The swivel unit is designed to mate two flat surfaces. The curved seat has been routed to provide the semblance of a flat surface on the underside, however the swivel unit extends beyond the flattened area. The attaching screws were not tightened down and came loose within just a few weeks of light use. When tightened, the swivel becomes immovable due to flexing the upper plate. The problem is easily solved by placing two washers between the upper swivel plate and the seat on each of the four attaching screws. The upper plate can then be tightened securely without interfering with the ease of movement of the swivel unit.

I have arthritis and sit on it at kitchen island to wash vegetables. It is small enough I can keep in corner of breakfast area and lifts well so can move anytime. Great for extra seating.
PRETTY NICE STOOLS. I USE MINE AT A SMALL LUNCH COUNTER. WERE VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE, HAVE HAD MANY POSITIVE REVIEWS FROM VISITORS.
I would buy this again and again

Great for when preparing food, as am unable to stand for much longer than 5 minutes, at a time. Then use to seat myself and/or guests at the counter. No back to get in the way when turning, and love that swivel effect, it returns to same position easily

Stool is of good quality and heavy. The saddle seat is comfortable as you fit nicely on it and getting off of is easy with the swivel design. I use them at my breakfast bar and being backless, tuck underneath nicely when not using.

We bought three of these and I totally love them. Super easy to put together - my 10 year old assembled two of them on her own. Very comfortable and heavy - I like the fact that they're not top heavy and that you can sit on them from either side - unlike the ones with a back. They swivel smoothly and were exactly as pictured. Also easy to move around with the handles built in. [...]

Perfect spot to sit and cook or sit and socialize. Like the swivel of the seat. Easy to take care of
Comfortable and convenient

I needed a comfortable chair that would tuck under a computer table... it is at the end of a hallway and we needed all the room possible to avoid blocking the area. So the backless style works perfectly because it tucks away when not in use.

About Me Budget Shopper
I love this stool. I have it in the brown color which is very attractive. The only issue I had was when I assembled it the screws that came with the stool were a little short- I actually ended up using longer ones that would catch the other piece properly. Once it was together it was fantastic. It is very comfortable and has a very nice swivel mechanism.

I use my stool in the kitche to help me do the dishes. I have bad arthritis in my back and need to sit as much as possible when I am doing a standing job in my kitchen.

I really like the look of the stools. I was looking for a stool that I could push under the bar without sides or back to bump into, but wanted a large seat for comfortable sitting. This work well for my needs.
