There is adhesive to attach to the fireplace and the hearth guard is flame-resistant, latex-free and phthalates-free. The metal backed hearth guard will fit fireplaces from 48" to 78" wide and 8" to 18" deep. This hearth guard is designed for the standard, 3-sided hearth with 90 degree corners.
