I started out by getting one of these for our Thanksgiving dinner, with my dad and siblings. When everyone saw it, they all asked where I got it, and I ended up ordering several more...and several more. It has made a thoughtful gift and everyone appreciated having it lighted, at our Thanksgiving dinner. It remains on my dad's kitchen table, where the picture is always visible to him. It was nice to have several finishes to choose from. Both the bronze, and the pewter, which I purchased are very attractive.It's sturdy, well constructed and a good size.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
