My mom loves it!
Comments about Product: Used for storing wood just outside the back door. Wanted a cover to protect the wood from the elements.
Rack seems solid, cover is worthless
Comments about Product: The extra large wood rack is solid and holds a half cord of wood well. The extra large cover does not cover the whole rack. I bought the set matched from a retail store - the associate got them, so this is not my error.
Worse, the cover acts like a sail during even a mild windstorm. If you use the cover and it is windy, expect it to push the stack over. I've stacked firewood before and am certain I stacked it properly. It might work in low, non-windy areas, next to a wall (mine is next to a deck) or with a wider base on the rack or some kind of anchoring. But the instructions suggest none of this.
Summary: get the rack, skip the cover.
Excellent Service from Plow and Hearth
Comments about Product: It was difficult to order because the catalog does not describe the wood rack cover adequatly. Consequently, Plow and Hearth shipped the wrong cover which then had to be returned for the correct size for the wood rack.
Rack ok, cover not so much...
Comments about Product: The rack was fairly easy to assemble and holds a full cord of wood. The cover was torn when I removed it from the box.
We Keep Ordering Another!
Comments about Product: 20-30 minutes EASY assembly. Wish vinyl log rack cover was 2-3 inches longer to completely cover logs stacked on very bottom. Rain ok, but snowdrift isn't! Great product. Now have 4 of different sizes.
Durable weather cover for woodrack
Comments about Product: Used last one for 11 years over metal log rack outside...just now starting to lose coating...so replaced with this one - good value.
Poor Quality Assurance
Comments about Product: The frame arrived missing a bolt hole. Fortunately, I own a drill press and was able to drill the missing hole and assemble the rack.
Firewood rack well made
Comments about Product: Good design and sturdy. It's cover is well made and should last long time with its Velcro closures.

Well made durable product
Comments about Product: The firewood rack was easy to assemble and seems that it will serve my purpose of stacking firewood in a neat and orderly manner. I believe this product was designed with durability in mind.
By Value with Class Shopper
Comments about Product: It works as advertised. It's far more convenient than covering wood rack with a full tarp that you have to untie and remove every time you want to get firewood from the rack. The only drawback to the floating cover is that it blew off twice. A short bungy cord on each end of my rack keeps it on and still allows easy access to the wood.

Good buy for the money
Comments about Product: This the second rack I have purchased from Plow & Hearth. The first I bought several years ago and it is still in service. This rack however is no where near as substantial as the first. I had to string re-enforcing wire between the end the ends in order to keep them from spreading apart as the wood was loaded onto the rack. Additionally the rack does not seem strong enough to support the full capacity of wood that will fit onto the rack. Having said all of this, you get what you pay for and I didn't pay all that much for this rack.
One other thing I would mention is the shipping container, which was emblazoned with the fact the product was from China, was also of such thin construction that UPS managed to tear it in several places to the point that they had to scotch tape it together and still managed to lose
some of the nuts and bolts to put the rack together with.
By Snow Dog
Comments about Product: Can't fill the rack to capacity because the higher up you stack from the floor the rack starts spreading out left to right. Really only fills half full well.
Comments about Product: Very impressed with the quality. This was the exact design my guy was looking for. I got free shipping which was a plus. Friendly customer service at Hearth and Plow. Great in-store experiences too.
Medium wood rack cover
Comments about Product: Good quality. The height and width are good but the cover is cut too deep and and doesn't fit snuggly on the steel rack.
Some assembly, but solid when finished.
Comments about Product: Not as solid as the one I bought 20 years ago -- but it still appears strong enough. More assembly now than I did before also.
Great Compact Wood Rack
Comments about Product: Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband, who is passionate about his firewood management. Fits perfectly in the only small space beside our house not already occupied by the large wood rack and recycling bins. He put it together on Christmas day and spent the morning moving wood into it--a real hit!
Easy to asemble
Comments about Product: Very nice to store ample wood by back door on deck for ease.
Comments about Product: I got the extra large rack. It was relatively easy to set up but did not come with enough nut & bolt sets to finish the assembly. It was one set short. It is bowing out a bit now that it's filled with wood but so far it is holding up. I had thought it would be sturdier than it seems to be.
Extra large size falls over
Comments about Product: I'm giving it 2 stars because the large has worked out well for us but the extra large is very flimsy and falls over. After picking it up and restacking the wood 3 times, I'm giving it up for scrap metal. The cover is well made.

Not Satisfied At All
Comments about Product: I was very disappointed in this product. We purchased this firewood rack so we could safely store our wood. The first day we filled the rack it started to twist and bow. One side pitched backward and the other side pitched forward. The next day the wood tumbled out of one side of the rack. A few days later a bunch of wood started tumbling out of the other side of the rack. This rack is actually a safety hazard.
Comments about Product: This is our third wood rack from Plow and Hearth. racks from other sources have fallen apart over time, these are still in good shape. Easy for one person to assemble.
Comments about Product: It's a very good firewood cover - easy to use.
By The household organizer
Top notch item
Comments about Product: This is the second cover our family has purchased.
It is used from November to May to cover a wood pile close to the house. The velcro opening makes it so easy to reach both ends of the wood pile since we have oak at one end and pine at the other end. The sun darkened the top but it did not wear thru. Husband just wanted another one.
It's a great product. Thankyou!

cover did not fit
Comments about Product: The holder was good but the cover was too small.
Comments about Product: Very easy to set up and seems very sturdy when filled with wood. I am very pleased with this product and have ordered several more.
Great little product for the price
Comments about Product: I had such a tough time getting the sides to fit into the bottom. I gave up. It sits with my wood filled into a partially constructed holder.
But still.. the thing is super strong! Love it

Covers ARE NOT puncture and tear proof
Comments about Product: We ordered the large firewood organizer and the heavy-duty cover. After the very first snow/ice storm, we went to remove the ice to get to the firewood and noticed that it had a giant rip on top. Outdoor furniture covers are so cheaply made but this one touted durability. Not true.
I am already planning on buying another!
Comments about Product: The rack and cover are of great quality. The cover is heavier and far more durable than I expected it to be. The rack was easy to put together -considering- I don't own a scewdriver; the mini-tools came with the instructions.
Neatly stores a lot of wood
Comments about Product: After our trip to the woodlot to stock up for the winter in Maine we loaded this rack, probably well beyond its intended capacity, but the rack did not seem to mind. It held a lot more than I expected but felt solid as a rock. I liked the size which gave me lots of options for placement. Will probably buy another one of these when we increase our stock of firewood. Easy to assemble in about a minute.
easy to put together
Comments about Product: Like the narrow width
Great way to store wood!
Comments about Product: I have bought 12 of these racks to store four cords of wood and they are awesome. They are not inexpensive, but I expect to have these for years. Have half floating covers and half full covers and like them both -- covers cost about the same as sturdy tarps, but fit much better.
Comments about Product: The rack arrived very timely, it was a breeze to assemble and is much better quality than previous wood racks we've purchased before. The wood is kept off the ground, and the cover that goes with it is also great
Dry Wood burns great.
Comments about Product: Received the large wood racks on time and well packaged.
Assembly is easy. I use a screw gun and a ratchet wrench for @ 1/2 hour, but I'm kind of slow !
I burn 3 cords of wood each winter in two EPA type wood stoves. During a wet winter, the covers that are available with these racks are just the ticket. They're tough, durable, and weather tight. I tie down the covers with elastic cord, in case of a very high wind.
I stack the wood onto @12 large racks - just right for a space next to the house.
A bit expensive, but some of the 12 are over 5 years old and look as good as they day I bought 'em.

Just What I Needed
Comments about Product: Good price, good delivery, good product.
durable log cover
Comments about Product: This replaces a cover I bought many years ago. It has held up extremely well, but is finally ready to be replaced. I especially like the velcro which holds the sides down and makes it easy to get at the woodpile even in awful weather, without uncovering the whole thing.
Comments about Product: I've had 2 of these firewood racks for 2 yrs--no rust, despite being out in the elements. and ordered 3 more. They're tough, zero maintence, and firewood stays put--doesn't fall out.
Rack is great - cover, not so much
Comments about Product: We've had the woodrack and cover for about 10 years. Actually, we've had several covers - they're pretty cheaply made, and will crack and split as soon as it gets really cold. They might last 3 years, if you tape the cracks in it. The rack is quite nice - yes, it's a bit wobbly without wood in it, but if it were heavy enough not to wobble when empty, you wouldn't be able to move it. For the first time, this summer I did a bit of touch up painting on the rack - it's had a lot of hard use, and the paint was worn off in a few places, but a bit of rust converter and a little gloss spray lacquer, and it lookes like new. Love it - tho I am disappointed - badly - in the cover. we've gone thru 3 or 4 of them, and I'm considering having one made of heavier material that will be more durable.
By (No nickname)
Comments about Product: I use this product for storing wood. It looks nice and stores the wood evenly. There is a rust spot about as big as a 50cent oiece in the side. Hope it does't get worse during the winter.
great wood holder with cover...
Comments about Product: This firewood rack keeps wood off the ground and neatly stacked. The cover fits over nicely and keeps it dry and ready to use for winter. Cover will lift up to take wood out as needed and then it is easily put back on. You need to bungee cord it on the sides if you live in an area with lots and lots of wind. No biggy though we do and it is no problem to undo and take wood out and then bungee back. We bought one a few years ago and now have bought another. The first one looks as good as the one we just bought. We think this is an excellent product.
Comments about Product: Not very heavy made, wobbley, until wood is totally on it. Cover flimsy.
Rack (could be better)
Comments about Product: It would be better to get the wood up off the ground higher. The rack sits directly on the ground. Should come with water proof blocks or something to get it up higher
serves the purpose
Comments about Product: We use it on the deck to store a small amount of firewood for our wood burning stove. Saves a few trips through deep snow.
Coating on steel was peeling off.
Comments about Product: The rack will serve it's purpose, but it looks like something I picked up at a yard sale instead of something I ordered new from your catalog.
Comments about Product: The overall cost is less than other large capacity firewood racks. It is just a few pieces of metal and a pretty good flexible cover. I like the extra height compared to most 4' high racks. It was pretty easy to assemble.
Decent for the job
Comments about Product: I have a small indoor wood stove and some of my logs are smaller than the piece comfortably holds. Still, it's easy to set-up and keeps the wood off the ground and in a nice pile.
Comments about Product: We have another Plow and Hearth wood rack (the Decorative Rack) and absolutely love it. It's strong and attractive. However, this one is much flimsier. It's fine if you don't want to stack the wood very high. But, if you plan to fill it even 2/3rds full, the sides extend at an angle greater than 90 degrees making the cover difficult to fit over the ends. More importantly, with the cover on, the entire wood rack can become a wind sail and blow over which is what happened to us. This could be avoided by having a stronger, wider, reinforced base. I wish we had just bought more of the Decorative Fire Racks, rather than spending money on this flimsier model that isn't meant to hold as much wood as it appears to have in the picture. All we have to show for it is a ripped-to-shreds cover (from falling), wood sprawled all over our backyard, and a checkbook entry for another, better fire rack. I would not advise buying this wood rack. Buy 2-3 of the Decorative Racks instead; they're much better made.

large woodrack cover
Comments about Product: The large wood rack cover has a seam in the middle that allows water to leak in every time it rains. Because the seam is in the center of the cover, rainwater puddles there and continues to leak long after the rain has stopped. I used the original black cover for five or six years before it began to leak from wear (no seam) this one began leaking upon first use.
By disappointed in pa
Comments about Product: I guess I received one of the only bad of these racks. X-tra large one as a gift. The braces at the bottom did not match as they should have. Haven't used it too store wood yet and noticed today that paint has peeled off and rust has begun!X-tra large is very flimsy. From this experience i wood not recommend it-usuallay like like P&W products.
Comments about Product: It fits our needs perfectly and fits on our front porch well. It holds a lot of logs and lots of kindling...
Why didn't we buy this years ago?
Comments about Product: While still using the "firewood under the tarp" or "woodshed way over there" methods, we are delighted to add this product. The sturdy rack allows us to store a good supply of wood for quick access just out the door (with air space along the building). The cover is easy access and stays in place.
Meets or exceeds expectations
Comments about Product: Keep wood stacked in an orderly manner. Holds wood off the patio making it easy to blow leaves out from under it. Easy to assemble and totally functional.
Excellent. I have it in my garage.
Comments about Product: I had shoulder surgery. The rack is in my garage to I can put wood in a tote bag and carry it with my other arm.

You get what you pay for.
Comments about Product: We needed another log rack with cover so I went to our local [...] who had one about 1/2 the cost of Plow & Hearths. I came home and set it up, within a couple days of lifting the cover and getting wood out along with strong winds, it ripped to shreds. I immediately ordered the rack and cover from Plow & Hearth, such better quality. It even survived tornado winds (it did fly off the rack, but it didn't tear anywhere). So go ahead and spend the extra money.....it's well worth it.

Good small firewood rack with cover
Comments about Product: Only problem is that you have to take the cover up to get to the firewood. A side zipper would be better.
Sturdy and Good Looking
Comments about Product: This is our second one so you know we are happy with it. It looks good and is strong. Holds a lot of wood to be sure. Can't think of anything wrong with it. The size is good for us.
By Elaine A.
Love the Wood Rack and Cover
Comments about Product: The wood stacks easily in this rack. The cover has two zippers that make it easy to remove wood from the rack. The cover seems durable. Be sure of the size you need though. I could have used one twice the size.
Was perfect for my needs
Comments about Product: We just got 3 ft of snow with lots of wind and the cover is holding up. I thought it would be gone in the first storm.
By Austin Annie
strong and attractive
Comments about Product: Easy to assemble. Much sturdier than I feared from reading some other reviews. Hold lots of wood, in a nice, unobtrusive design.
Easy to assemble
Comments about Product: This product met our criteria for a sturdy, nice looking, mid size wood holder. [...]We are very satisfied and plan on ordering from Plow & Hearth again.
Sturdy and attractive
Comments about Product: Works great for a fireplace that is used occasionally - i don't think it holds enough for a woodburning stove designed to heat the home. Keeps the wood dry, but i think mosr insects could easily crawl under the cover without problem.
Comments about Product: Have had one for several years and stood up well. Just got a second to put new logs on for aging.

Looking for simple, but well built
Comments about Product: The product is very easy to assemble and built with a light and sturdy construction.
Comments about Product: the cover is not waterproof at all. it is full of pin holes from where it was folded and develops more everyday. it also leaks at the seams. spent way too much on such junk! the rack is just ok, but now see the same offered at local home improvement stores for less.[...]
Comments about Product: Just what we were looking for to store extra wood on our deck. Don't hesitate to buy this product!
Comments about Product: I assembled this firewood rack in October. I filled it up with newly delivered firewood. I was pleased with the strength of the rack itself. It looks neat with the cover on & the rack is small enough where I can conveniently place it in my driveway next to my side door. My only complaint is the cover. It is now December & the cover is beginning to tear. There has been many times where I have come home to find the cover completely off & the firewood exposed to rain. After a few times of it blowing off, I place a few large pieces of firewood on top of the cover so it wont blow away. I may have to replace the cover soon.
Comments about Product: Very functional. I purchased two of them mainly for their smaller size. I keep them in my garage and I stack one with large pieces of wood and one with smaller (starter) pieces of wood. That way I don't have to dig through just one stack to find the right size that I need. Seems a bit on the flimsy side but for this purpose I think they will hold up. Not sure if I would use them outdoors. Time will tell.

This was a GREAT gift!
Comments about Product: I bought this item for my son in law's birthday and as soon as the party was over he put it together and put outside and stacked the wood in it.
He loves it.
Look no further, if y want a large rack.
Comments about Product: Product is easy to put together , has a good look and holds a good deal of wood
so far so good
Comments about Product: Bought this to hold firewood for patio firepit. It's simple, well-designed, and easy to assemble. The tubing is thick enough that it should last several years even in our maritime climate.

Solid and useful
Comments about Product: This rack is just what we have been looking for. As a staging unit under a covered porch, this rack makes an end to multiple muddy trips to the woodpile. Dainty females can make genteel forays to the porch for wood to keep a fire going; manly men can refill the rack once a week (or vice versa). Rugged but light-weight, easy to assemble. Bravo!
By super mom
Comments about Product: This rack was the perfect size for our porch. We used to just stack the wood against the house and it sometimes fell over. This is our first winter using the firewood rack so we'll see how it stands up to our Northeast weather.
Comments about Product: It is very good item!!!
I would buy this product again
Comments about Product: Products looks good outside. The height of the largest stand makes it slightly unstable when filled to the top with wood. We do not have flat ground so that is affecting the stability. Great to get the wood off the ground.
Comments about Product: Works well, looks nice.
Firewood Racks and Covers
Comments about Product: Rack is as described. Good size for my front porch. Cover is well made.
By Upstate New Yorker
Holds a lot of wood !!
Comments about Product: This is working great under the porch to hold wood for two fireplace inserts. Easy to load. Holds a weeks worth of wood.
Firewood rack and cover
Comments about Product: Use to stack cut firewood, holds a lot, very sturdy. First cover we got ripped when we opened the velcro, P&H sent us a new one, and we had no problems at all with new one. We live on a mountain, tough weather, it has with stood it all so far. Though when you do stack the wood high, it bows and cover doesn't fully fit.
By Grandfather Groundskeeper
Comments about Product: I'm surprised I wasn't asked to rate the medium wood rack cover; I also bought it and would rate it at 5 stars. But this large wood rack cover is apparently two medium-sized covers sewn together, and it leaks rainwater through the seam that runs down the middle.
By Ms TEXOMA
Wood rack cover
Comments about Product: This is a replacement. Good design and value. Wears out around 4-5 years but does fit the log rack the best.
Not Built to Last
Comments about Product: I am very disappointed with the quality of this firewood rack. The two end pieces are held together with thin metal strapping which is quite flimsy. The rack when assembled is just not sturdy. I expect that I will likely be looking for a better constructed rack in the not too distant future as it is hard to believe this one will last very long. Based on the overall poor quality I do not expect to buy another rack from Plow and Hearth.
Firewood Rack and Cover - Good and Bad
Comments about Product: I typically buy a cord of wood every season. This year, my new storage rack didn't hold the full cord, and I had to store the overflow elsewhere. The cover fit poorly, and there were no eyelets on the rack to tie it down. 2 eyelets on each corner would have been nice. In the high winds we occasionally have, I was surprised to see that the cover held up well, and that the velcro flaps stayed fully closed. Since we are only half through the winter, I don't know how it will hold up in the long run, but I am concerned that the eyelets on the cover will pull out or that the cover will fray as it flaps against the rough cut wood. This basically happens because the cover doesn't taper down to match the shape of the rack, nor is it tall enough to pull all the way down over the wood to prevent air getting under it.
I was originally worried that getting wood out during bad weather would be problematic, but that didn't happen. Instead, I was able to slip under the cover out of the wind to get a load of wood in my arms before rushing inside to stack it. Untying the flaps and then re-tying them WAS a hassle in the cold and wind, but a good fitting cover with snap-on fittings would have made even this easier.
My conclusion is that the rack was well-conceived, but the cover could have benefitted from a little forethought in design and attention to detail.
Works well enough; had to add bungees
Comments about Product: This is not an attractive addition to one's landscape. It does seem to work reasonably well, however, especially after I added bungee cords to hold it onto the rack.
A bad buy
Comments about Product: We bought the largest rack.
After a short time of holding the wood neatly, it fell over.
We moved it to a more sheltered location, re-stacked the wood, and it fell over again.
The second fall tore the very expensive cover.
I was concerned
Comments about Product: It showed up in a small box, I was concerned immediately. It put together easy. It did ok holding the wood but began bowing out when it was a third of the way filled. I tied a rope around the top upper half of the rack to impede the bowing. Kinda flimsy but holds alot of wood.
My second one
Comments about Product: Very handy to get both the rack and form fitting cover. Helps keep the elements out (especially in the winter months) to keep the wood dry and ready to burn. The rack holds the wood well.
Does the job
Comments about Product: I needed to clean up our messy wood pile at our summer cabin in MT. After borrowing my in laws wood splitter I needed a sturdy and attractive way to stack wood. One didn't quite do it, so I ordered a second on. They appear flimsy at first but as you stack wood it becomes more sturdy. The cover is excellent and so much better that using plastic which falls apart over the winter.
Since we only live at this cabin during the summer months, I will be interested to see how it makes it through a wicked, cold MT winter.

Sturdy Compact Product
Comments about Product: The rack was easy to assemble, has a sturdy frame, simple look, wood is easily stacked and keeps dry with cover. Fits perfectly under our deck.
Comments about Product: This is our second Plow and Hearth wood rack. We liked the first one so much that after many years we ordered a second to accomodate more wood.

Comments about Product: I think overall it is going to perform well and weather the elements.
I would buy this product again and have!

Firewood rack and cover
Comments about Product: the rack is great, but the cover did not last more than about a month. Now we have ours covered with a plain tarp.
Attractive and Sturdy
Comments about Product: We needed an area to store wood that was convenient, but it also would be seen. This holder was very functional, neat and stylish. We have had several compliments.

"Taking the fuss out of wood storage"
Comments about Product: I live in a duplex & both apartments have working fireplaces. I was a concern storing a large quantity of wood; however, with the XL Log Rack made it clean, easy & organize but in no way taking away from the look of the complex. I have gotten many compliments on the rack.
I don't like the fact that the rack bows outward when fully loaded, this cause it to be slightly difficult to apply the cover.
The greatest thing I like the most is not having to re-stack wood or fuss with plastic to cover each time I gather wood. The XL LG Rack cover has Velcro flaps & makes it so convenient to get wood & re-cover.
By Bruce the Splitter
Comments about Product: The firelog cover is high quality and durable.I purchased the large size and it fits a fully stacked rack perfectly. The velcro seems allow easy access and you can fold the side up to help dry fresh cut logs. The best product I have seen.
By Happy in Oregon
High and Dry in Oregon
Comments about Product: Our winters are windy, rainy and we can even have snow. We bought the rack and loved it, but the cover makes it perfect. We keep the rack full near the house for easy access on those wet and windy Oregon winter days. Under the cover, the wood stays dry and we have no problems with critters & insects. Plus the access is so easy. The only downside is that they don't last a lifetime, but after several years, surviving rain, wind and snow...I consider it extremely durable and a good value.
Comments about Product: It held enough for 2 days at camp. Stabilizing feet on the bottom would help. Much better than the smaller units. It cut down on the number of trips that we used to make to the wood shed, especially nice in the below freezing conditions of deer camp.
Comments about Product: pretty good. nice velcro opening but can rip when really cold
Rack & Cover
Comments about Product: The best use of this cover is on a full rack. Once the rack starts to empty, the fit isn't as snug and wind can get under the cover and pull it off. Material didn't stand up to the weather as well as I had hoped.

Works great! Keeps the wood dry!
Comments about Product: The rack was a gift but have replaced the cover twice. I can put in on my deck which is real handy for me to haul the wood inside. Don't really have anything negative to say about it.
Comments about Product: I use the firewood rack for both logs and kindling wood. Great place to store and cover with a tarp to keep dry. It is very simple to put together and lightweight.

Love it keeps wood neat and dry
Comments about Product: looks nice enough to put on deck next to entrance.
Could be a little bigger.
is very light, surprised me.
Will buy another one
Comments about Product: Serviceable
Great firewood cover!
Comments about Product: May need to be tied down to your wood rack so it does not blow off in high winds.
Comments about Product: The Firewood rack we bought is medium in size. I find it to be firm, easy to assemble and has withstood a full year of Northeastern U.S. weather.
It would have been wiser for us to place it on a clean solid surface other than soil. Eventually the underneath filled with grass and ivy which blocked ventilation.
Comments about Product: use in backyard with cover stays completely dry
Firewood Stacked Neat and Tidy
Comments about Product: We stacked wood close to the house and saved time and energy from truding to the garage. The wood is drier and burns much better having been under cover for a few months.
By Blue Moon Akita Rescue (google us)
Comments about Product: We like this product so well we bought a second and are considering a third. We have an Akita (dog) rescue and it is great to be able to use the stacked wood as a wind break on the north side of the walkway to the kennels.

it does the job
Comments about Product: it does the job
Not puppy proof!
Comments about Product: Works great at keeping wind, rain and dust off the wood but spiders and the puppy still managed to get in.
useful but limited
Comments about Product: I use it for secondary storage near the house, it holds enough for several days of burning. too small for any serious heat needs, so I replenish it from the main rack. The cover broke down after a couple of years, no great loss it was a bother to deploy and keep on the rack in a wind
Wow! A product that is as advertised
Comments about Product: I have been using Plow & Hearth products for years.I have NEVER been disappointed. The product price is well within most consumers price range. The products themselves are of superior quality. Best of all the products are just as they are advertised. The assembly instruction (if applicable) are easy to read and follow. I highly recomment Plow and Hearth to all comsumers.
Comments about Product: I was happy to have the wood neatly stacked and the cover keeps it dry, but aired. The cover has a velcro access panel which makes it easy to get new wood without having to remove the whole thing. Be sure to use a bungie cord or tie down through the groments of at least one corner of the cover. One of ours blew off in a wind storm and was never seen again.
Comments about Product: This rack worked perfectly on my deck. Kept wood neat and out of the way.

Comments about Product: The rack is excellent! The only problem with the cover is that it does not have a way to tie to rack. We had a bad wind storm and the velcrow did not hold and my cover had a couple rips. This is not due to the quality of rack or cover.

Perfect for the large wood rack
Comments about Product: Keeps wood dry, velcro closures are easy to use when removing wood. My only suggestion is to add some heavy duty ties to fasten this securely to the large wood rack. Also maybe to put something on the wood rack to tie to as the cover can blow off in high winds if it is not secured to the rack. Other than that it is perfect.

Just what I needed
Comments about Product: I looked everywhere and this rack best met my needs. It was [...] easy to assemble and place in the yard. The only issue is that it's just a shade too wide for my wood. I have a stove with a small firebox, so I cut full (22"-24") wood in half. I have to cut slightly longer pieces to span the width of the rack to line the bottom before stacking the remainder. I also found the wood rack cover to be great for keeping the wood dry. Just be sure you use the grommets to fasten the cover to the rack as high winds will pull the cover off if it is not fastened.
Comments about Product: heavy cover and frame
I WAS DISAPPOINTED !
Comments about Product: VERY NICE RACK BUT THE VINYL COVER DIDN'T LAST
THROUGH THIS HORRIBLE WINTER WE HAD AND RIPPED THE
VELCRO CLOSURE. IT WAS A GIFT OR I WOULD HAVE
Comments about Product: This cover was purchased two years and ago and has not only survived heavy use through all sorts of weather...it still looks brand new! Very Sturdy!
Neat at last
Comments about Product: Found it fairly easy to put together. After years of stacking wood any old way, using pipes and pallets to keep it off the ground, this is a terrific way to have your wood neatly stacked and protected.
Great for making wood racks!
Comments about Product: We found these rack ends to be very useful in making our own wood racks. We've had them for a few years now, and will be getting more for this fall. If more than one pair are purchased, they can be used with longer lengths of lumber, with an end placed in the middle to separate, add strength or even to help hold up the covering over the wood. Definitely a good buy!

Overall a Good Rack
Comments about Product: Overall one of better racks you can buy. Well thoughtout shape keeps firewood above ground. Light and easy to assemble with a supplied key to compliment your own tools. But, powder coating is too delicate for use on cement patios and it will sink if placed directly over soil. Simple factory installed rubber padding should have been attached to the contact surfaces to protect the rack. Also, this rack is made of light steel and without rust-proofing inside the pipes are going to rust through in just a few seasons. You need to protect inside against moisture. At this price such a simple and inexpensive step could have really made this rack a 5 star rating.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
