Irene’s Wilted Cole Slaw
1 head cabbage
1 medium onion
1 medium green pepper
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup white vinegar
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. celery seed

Shred the cabbage, onion and green pepper in food processor. Sprinkle sugar on top and let sit until dressing is made. Combine vegetable oil, sugar, white vinegar, salt and celery seeds in saucepan. Bring to boil for 1 minute. Pour boiling mixture over vegetables. Toss. Refrigerate covered until ready to use. Makes 1/2 gallon of cole slaw.
