We bought two sets. we'll be building one large rack, 8 feet, out in the yard to hold the full cord of wood when it's delivered. We're building a 4 foot rack in the garage to hold wood for immediate use. This will allow to use our wagons for the tractor instead of having them filled with wood in the winter.

I bought one of these last year and it still is great! This one will go to the art studio for stacking firewood there. Easy to assemble, sturdy, good looking... and it packs up compactly when winter is over. I may go for another one on the other end of the deck.

This works great with long 2"X4" studs. To elevate it off the ground, I bought Belgium blocks and evenly spaced them every two feet since I stack a lot of wood and did not want to strain the 2"4"'s with that much weight. The Belgium blocks also prevent rot since I use these log holders outside to store my wood. These are great.

I am using the log rack to store wood for the winter. I placed a tarp over the wood to keep it dry. It seems very sturdy.

This rack setup was the perfect solution to our wood storage!! Using our own 2x4's in exactly the length we needed solved the problem of fitting our split wood close by in the only space we had available. It was also a heavier quality than we expected. We would recommend this setup to anyone.

We have two of these adjustable wood log racks placed on our stairs under the covered entry way. We have larger log racks farther away from the house and keep an ample supply near the door- for easy access to dry logs. These "double" quite nicely all year round as "stairway rails" for our older guests- as long as you keep heavy items stacked on the rack; in the summer we replace the logs with a short stack of nice looking landscape stones. The flexible design and use of the 2'X4' lets you adjust according to your stairway width.

However, previous models from Plow and Hearth were made of a heavier gauge metal.

We have a covered back porch that we could measure the width and cut the wood accordingly. Fits perfect and holds more wood. No mettle to rust out. It's a perfect kit.

Since we use it seasonally we have one at the cabin and wanted one for home. I've looked everywhere for this. Easy setup to stack logs on porch for winter use. Easily stores away in warmer weather. I can make it as long or as short as needed to fit in the space available. No down side.

We have it right by the door. It holds 3 large wheelbarrows of split wood. Saves trips to the wood pile during bad weather.

If this product has any negatives, one might be its fixed width (depth), and another might be the fact that the supporting 2 x 4s rest directly on the ground. If you'll be using this outdoors, you might want to consider using treated lumber or artificial lumber. Couldn't be easier to set up. Would definitely recommend...
