Lighted Glazed Ceramic Urn Fountain

I purchased this product for my front porch. It works very well and is beautiful, but because bugs are attracted to the water in the pump well, the pump can get stopped up. Otherwise it works great.

This is much prettier in real life than shown on the plow and hearth site. The directions aren't overly clear, but it's easy enough to figure out.

It says best used indoors or in covered outdoor area. Yet the photo on the P&H site makes it look like it's outside on a patio in the sun. So, we'll see how it lasts outside on my deck under trees. It probably needs to be free from the elements for these reasons:

1. mosquitos laying eggs in the urn. (so keep it running or cover it/empty it if not using regularly.)
2. debris falling in the urn and fountain area that can clog up the tubing and/or motor.

It makes a wonderful tinkling sound and fits in nicely around other garden glazed pots. I have it nestled among the pots in my shade container garden. See video.

Cord is also rainproof (see photo).

I wish that there was a choice of having the lights on or off as we mainly use the deck during daylight hours, but even in the day, it adds a bit of sparkle.

Bought the fountain and a solar pump. It's February so I have not used it, but can't wait for spring I think it will be beautiful.
