I bought this for the capacity and to make it up the deck steps into the house with a decent sized load of wood for my insert; it's great but...There's no sling available so it leaves wood poops on the way in. I ended up buying a couple yards of heavy duck fabric and making my own which works just fine. I'd suggest that you either know how to sew or know someone who does for this or it won't fit and may rub/impede the wheels. I even added a trim piece around the top for reinforcement and for a little decorative touch. The sling also covers the logo so I'm not running a billboard service in my living room. Now I love it!

Comments about Plowhearth Large Wheel Log Cart:
I received this a B-day gift and it's a big back saver!! I have 4 steps to go up to get to my porch and it very easy to pull up. Sure beats the wheelbarrow which I would leave at the bottom of the stairs then make several trips the put the wood in the rack on the porch. The only negative, some of the hardware could be better quality; I will probably replace with grade A bolts and lock washers. I also added a canvas which keeps down the amount of wood pcs and dirt for when I occasionally bring it in the house.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

happy with the product. Was putting it together, only to have to stop and go to the gas station to inflate the tires. Would be helpful if this had been done prior to your shipping.

I purchased this Large Wheeled Log Cart for my husband to haul the firewood in from outside. He said it is a back saver. He used to carry the logs in a canvas bag and had to make many trips. This cart cuts down on the trips to the wood pile and is much better for his back. The only con I have for this product is the lack of slats on the cart for smaller logs. But overall it is a great product. Very pleased!

About Me Homeowner, Love To Cut Wood
Very disappointed the the wheels/tires sent with this product would not properly inflate. I believe it was a problem with the inner tube. Strange, that is occurred with both wheels. Unit designed well to both haul and store wood used in a fireplace. But, not having good wheels makes it a valueless product.Unit not as heavy duty as portrayed in the picture and description in the catalog
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Fantastic Product....love it.

Move large quantities of wood to my fireplace ....easy to handle a large load instead of having to make many trips to the wood rack pretty far from home.

Reasons we like our new cart: Carries ample wood for 1 to 2 days use in our wood stove. We usually bring 2 loads to the house. One we carry in and one we leave waiting on the deck. Also, the thoughtful design prevents large/long pieces of wood from interfering with the wheels. Nice large hard plastic wheels. The cart seems like it could easily handle a few hundred pounds of wood (and it will around our home)Things to improve on: We estimate that the hardware provided with the cart will only last 2 seasons, max. It's cheapy. The cart wobbles a bit even when tightened down hard. This isn't a huge problem - a trip to the hardware store will take care of it when the time comes that it shakes itself apart. We read reviews ahead of time stating the same thing. They were right.
Quality Control, Please

I bought this for a Christmas gift and believe it will be useful for the recipient. However, the holes in the handles do not line up exactly so they will have to be drilled out again. After reading several reviews about the flimsy hardware, I immediately bought heavier hardware before putting together. Quality control seems to be the biggest issue with this item.

Perfect! Does what it was meant to!!
I was carrying in a few logs at one time in a nylon carrier. Wow, this thing saves me 4 trips outside, saves my back, and you can even leave your last load on the cart for later. Love it!!

Nice cart, but the screws were so flimsy! My husband bought sturdier screws and replaced the ones that came with the cart. Used it for first time today and it works wonderfully.

A life saver for us this winter - I'll load this up, roll it into the house and I have wood for two days! Great carrier and storage in one!

This is excellent. Big time saver when moving a lot of split wood around. Only negatives are the bolts that come with it are pretty weak and don't stay that tight. The metal tube parts slip into each other fine, and the holes line up, but the fit is sort of loose. When it's all together and bolts tightened, there is play in the handle with a load of wood in the cart. It has not been a problem yet, but I am keeping an eye on it. Also, I recommend getting some better hardware at the local hardware store. Last thing is just aesthetics are ruined by the self-advertisement decal that arrives affixed to the front of the cart. Does not affect functionality, but who wants to look at "Plow & Hearth" in the living room???The large tires make this great for uneven terrain and going up over door thresholds and small steps... The axle seems strong, too.

Originally, I was going to buy the large wheeled cart. But, I read the review about the 'right sized wood' and was was also worried about the wheels getting in the way. Then, I purchased this 'in between' cart. I live in the mountains. Dirt/rock terrain and flight of stairs to deck. I wanted a cart to bring wood upstairs and one that would last over many winters. This one is sturdy and I think it will last nicely. Cuts my trips up the stairs exponetially. Very smooth to roll and easy to use. Extremely happy with it. Would rather have paid $60ish, but I am so remote, it saved a trip to town and shopping around for one.
