Non-Slip Mats Disappear With The Ice
Protect your family and guests from dangerous slips and falls when you roll one of these no-slip carpets out on snowy, icy steps and walkways. Natural coco fiber and latex eliminate the need for salt and chemicals that can harm concrete, indoor carpets and floors. When the snow and ice melts, just leave the carpets in place; they will biodegrade with oncoming spring weather. Natural coco color. Imported.

When my steps and driveway are iced over I will not have to use towels - the coco strips are just the ticket

Third Year buying these - They're Great!
from Grove City Ohio
We have a deck that gets no sun in the winter but runoff from snow melt refrezes causing ice hazzards. I put these down at the first frost and leave them until the threat of snow and ice are gone in spring. They hold up thru our long Ohio winters with two great danes and our many daily treks in and out of our primary doorway.

About Me Budget Shopper
The non-skid aspect works very well; I actually use it on a (wooden) ramp-incline from driveway onto front deck. Love it, bought two but one has lasted through our (awful) Eastern Kansas winter so far. And our old dog who can't manage steps is extremely grateful for it!
wonderful for icy weather

This carpet has been wonderful for my old, arthritic dog. It has enabled him to go up and down brick steps all winter during very icy and snowy weather.
Great Product !!!

My sister lives in an upper story appartment with 19 stairs, which gets very icy.A friend told me of this ice/snow carpet,I ordered, and she loves it.My sister can now walk up and down her stairs without slipping!!! And I have peace of mind...We cut pieces to fit each step and stapled it, for extra stibility. Thanks Plow & Hearth !!! Pleasently Pleased, Shirley

Provided the carpets were anchored with bricks, they would stay put on the steps. They would slip otherwise. The steps the carpets were placed on are concrete and well shaped. The winter was bad with lots of ice forming right on the carpets. I could get the ice chipped off them and they were easy to shovel or broom snow off of. They shed quite a bit, but can be turned over and used again next year. They should be easy to store.
Good product for good price

We are using it for our back steps to provide footing for my old dog so she won't slip on snow/ice. Works great. We weren't sure how to secure it so temporarily we placed bricks on each edge on each step and that works fine. We're using 2 of them overlapped so they cover a large area of the steps.
bulky & unmanageable

About Me High-end Shopper
I bought three of these "carpets" and after using one on deck steps, took them up so no one would slip or fall. They do not adhere, do not conform and may probably work on flat surfaces. My older children did not want the other two. Stuck with them! Too much trouble [...] to send them back.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great Product for Winter Weather!
By Dog Lover

We have an elderly dog who has trouble on stairs so we built a ramp for her on our porch stairs. When covered in snow and ice, ramp became a dangerous slide. This tough no-slip carpet saved us this winter. It survived ice, blizzards, rain, you name it. Still looks great. We did nail it down to keep it in one place. You also receive 2 mats for the price so if one did wear out, you have another.

We have an elderly dog who has trouble on stairs so we built a ramp for her over our porch stairs. When covered in snow and ice, ramp became a dangerous slide! This tough no-slip carpet saved us this winter. It survived ice, blizzards, rain, you name it. Made walking our dog easy — her feet could grip onto soft surface. Always stayed ice free! Still looks great. I would roll it up and down for use. You also receive 2 mats for the price so if one did wear out, you have another.

2nd time purchase
By new englander
I bought the item the first time just wanted to give it a try since the description sounded good, I have since found out that the item are used better for the snow condition as suppose to the "ice" one. however, it is immediately ripped apart if the rug is "glued" onto ice and/or wet snow on the groud.
It does work !
Used for the first time this week after having frozen rain. It works !! Since I just unrolled it from the packaging, had to place some bricks on either end to help flatten the rug (I have a ramp) BUT it sure made a difference for those who used it.
My dog and I love this product!

I laid the coco fiber carpets side-by-side on a thick plywood ramp; and my large older dog (age 14) is going up and down the ramp easily to get in and out of the house this winter. He was struggling going up and down the steps and slipped several times on the ramp when it was just covered with a rug. I sweep the ramp after each snowfall to make sure he can get traction and will leave it on year-round. This product has been a real life saver for us.

Our "front" door is really on the east side of the house. We get no sun on that side of the house because we are surrounded by old growth trees. We use this coming up our wood desk stairs. The only problem we have is that the product wants to roll up, so we tack it down onto the wooden deck steps.
