I use the tablecloths everyday and have several sizes and colors for when I use my leaves in my table. Follow washing instructions carefully and they won't shrink much. They stay clean along time and can be spot cleaned. I wash in the washing machine, air fluff, and then lay over my island counter top to finish drying. I also love the finer weaved Dorset ones.

stiff and uncomfortable to use
I was very disappointed in these napkins. They are stiff and non-absorbent.

Comments about Plowhearth Homespun Table Linens:
I've been buying similar tablecloths for years to cover my small, round kitchen table and much larger diningroom table. They give the room a charming breath of country. If this tablecloth is similar to others I've bought, I've learned to wash them on warm, not hot, and to dry at a lower temperature to prevent puckering.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Homespun Table Linens

I have a beautiful wooden table but like to keep it covered with a tablecloth.I have found these to be great and they look very nice. They come in great colors and have napkins to match. They wash very nicely with very little shrinkage.I have two and will probably buy more colors in the future. Thanks

I had one of these cloths years ago when my kids were young. The best thing is that you don't have to iron or touch them up with an iron for them to look great. They hold up beautifully for years. I like them for an everyday cloth to protect our wood tables. They make great picnic cloths too. I looked for them on line recently and couldn't find, so I am VERY happy to find them at P&H. They do shrink...wish you had a longer version. Plan to buy more!

I refuse to buy a tablecloth that I can't wash and dry. So I chose a size that I hoped would let me wash and dry it. The tablecloth recommends not drying it... It does shrink. Hopefully it is done shrinking, it is fine now. It feels thick and protective to the table, and has a warm casual look that I like.

I have several homespun table cloths and they have held up and remained attractive through many washings. No need to iron. For my casual home they are perfect.

We use this at our vacation home where we entertain lots. It is so conveniet that it doesn't need to be ironed to look great. You can dress it up or dress it down depending on the occasion.
