Comments about Product: When I placed my order for the pistachio basket, I read the description as the nuts were included with basket. I called when I received my basket, with no nuts. They said it does not come with nuts. They don't even have nuts until Christmas time. I think the description should be changed .
Comments about Product: This was a gift for myself. I love the large tin. The nuts are easy to open and have just the right amount of salt.
Wanted pistachios, got basket instead :(
Comments about Product: I wanted the pistachios, but apparently you were out. What I ended up ordering was the basket. Your website, needs to be modified to state that the pistachios are not available. The page name, and details, were for the pistachios, not the basket, which is why I was mislead.
I would still like the pistachios, but the very nice and accommodating customer service representative said they were not available at this time.
Comments about Product: So cute. Great gift.
Comments about Product: Good idea but basket needs liner so the peanuts don't get through the weave.

Comments about Product: My husband throughly enjoyed these pistachio's!
Only down side is that they are a bit expensive especially with shipping costs.
Terrific product...terrific service
Comments about Product: Great gift idea...fill with any kind of nut!
Comments about Product: My daughter loves this. We eat pistachios a lot and never know what to do with the shells! Cool idea.
Also bought one for my parents and put cashews on one side and almonds on the other so they could both have their favorites!

Pistachios and Basket
Comments about Product: Bought this as a gift so haven't tasted it but the nuts are well packed and the basket is very nicely made, attactive and a good size.
Double Nut Basket
Comments about Product: I bought for Christmas gifts and one for myself. My sister had had one for years and thanks to Plow & Hearth I and my entire family now have one. Someone suggested they prefer unshelled peanuts to pistachios, that would make a nice variation.
Unigue gift basket!
Comments about Product: I hoped the basket would have been a little heavier in the quality. I placed napkins in the bottom to catch all the bits that fall through the weave. All in all, I would buy the basket again. Great gift!
Comments about Product: The pistachio nuts were easy to open and tasty. I would package in large quantity and lower the price a bit.
Comments about Product: To solve the debris problem a coffee filter in the bottom of the basket works great!
P&H Awesome as usual!
Comments about Product: Anytime healthful treat...wonderful gift for anyone on your best friend list.
Comments about Product: Give as gifts and have out at the house.

What happened to the burlap bag??
Comments about Product: I always send these Pistachios as a gift to my son's in-laws in Texas. They seemed more of a special gift in the burlap bag-just my opinion.

Unique Housewarming Gift
Comments about Product: I like the second basket for the nutshells. Unfortunately, the debris falls thru the basket weave. I gave this as a gift. I suggest it would be better if it were larger and the baskets were lined with plastic.
Comments about Product: These baskets make great gifts.
It's a fun gift for a pistachio lover.
Comments about Product: Use it for pistachios. Found a little container that fits inside so the shells won't get caught or go through the weave.

Comments about Product: These are the best pistachios we have ever found. Give them as gifts plus save some for ourselves and our granddaughter loves them.
A great basket for any nuts!
Comments about Product: I bought mine and then several more for my friends.
Great for entertaining
Comments about Product: I love to put this out for my guests. In the past, I always had to put out a companion bowl for discarded shells. Now, it is compact and attractive. Only complaint...when you remove the basket, some shell remnants remain on the table. Other than that, it's a real winner!
Comments about Product: I give these as a gift to by brother and his wife for Christmas and they love them.
Comments about Product: Good size basket to grab a snack of peanuts and keep the mess to a minimum.
I buy this product every year!
Comments about Product: My husband loves pistachios and looks forward to his bag or can each year at Christmas and on his birthday.
Many years of purchasing this tasty item
Comments about Product: I have purchased these pistachios for many years for my sons and I for Christmas! This year the packaging was smaller - would gladly pay more to get more! Great presentation of the product and nothing but the very best pistachio nut in each package! I will buy them every year!

Adds to the Gift Presentation!
Comments about Product: This double container, allowing the whole nuts to be put in one side and the to-be-discarded shells or hulls to be put in the other, is a great way to serve nuts in the shell and have a lot less mess everywhere...added to the "presentation factor" of the gift as well!

Given as a gift!
Comments about Product: These nuts were given as a holiday gift, along with the double basket (whole nuts on ones side, hulls on the other)...no complaints from the recipient; no left-overs in the tin! : )
Comments about Product: I purchased this for my husband as a convenient place to put the shells, however the open weave of the basket does not keep all the shells and pieces inside. I lined 1/2 with foil so now there is less mess on the table
Comments about Product: Was a gift for my son.
I love this basket.
Comments about Product: Its a great basket. We use it all the time for snacking. It can be a little messy, some of the skins come through the bottom of the basket, but we put a napkin in the botttom of each basket and it solves the problem. Very economical. Received as gift and will buy more to pass around to the family. We love it.
Nut Basket, P & H had it !!!
Comments about Product: This is a handy little basket.
Comments about Product: Nuts, nuts, nuts! Great for nuts that have shells. Put it between your legs and go to town. Saw the same exact thing in other catalogs for a lot more. I bought 7 as gifts and filled them full of pistachos.
Comments about Product: Great basket to have in your kitchen for snaking.
Good idea, poorly implemented
Comments about Product: The weave on the basket is too loose for it to catch the flaky bits of the pistachio skins, so you end up with a mess anyway. I bought this because it was half the price of a similar basket sold elsewhere but it seems to be a cheap knockoff.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
