pretty but cracked
Comments about Product: Works but has a crack running top to bottom. Saw it when brand new but waited to see if it was part of the crackled glass. Has been constant clean up cuz it was a real crack! Disappointed and don't want to spend another $20 to replace it :(

Comments about Product: It's nice BUT I had to put a small piece of paper towel through the green stem and put it back in the hole so the flies could not get out. Eww they made baby's so I would clean this out soon maybe everyday. I usually make a solution in a small blow of a little bit of dawn soap, little water and some apple cider vinegar and it always gets them and kills them right away.
Comments about Product: Have purchased other items and i am very satisfied.

Easy to Use
Comments about Product: Product was easy to mix, but made more than the cracked apple could hold and spilled.
Did not start to attract fruit flies until after 48 hours as per directions.
After 48 hours started to work and at 96 hours fruit flies were gone.

Attractive but not effective
Comments about Product: I got the red and it is pretty but doesn't work as well as a open dish. The fruit flies will not go down inside the apple. This was too expensive to not work well.

Leaf broke off
Comments about Product: Pretty and people ask what it is; then wish they had one too.
I would recommend this product.
Comments about Product: what is a good homemade bait for the flies?
I'm glad I bought this product
Comments about Product: Beautiful colors! I will buy more to give as gifts in the future because I'm not giving mine away!
Decorative Piece with a useful purpose.
Comments about Product: This is such an attractive, pretty piece that it can be used anywhere in your house. I haven't had to use the bait yet because it's winter and we don't have a fruit fly problem during this season but it looks so nice that I set it out in my kitchen anyway. It's compact and easily moves to any room you might have a problem in. I can't wait for those little pesks this summer...they are in for a deceptive surprise!

Not just functional, but very attractive
Comments about Product: I mixed apple cider vinegar, water, and a couple of drops of dish detergent for bait (recommended by friends).
A hard worker
Comments about Product: the glass was a bit more fragile than I expected..
works on Arkansas gnats, and thats special...
I would order more if needed, but one has kept the gnats at bay..........
Same ordered colors vary greatly.
Comments about Product: Ordered two of same color....huge differences in color when they arrived. One arrived with a large crack ( other than the cracks intended). I will keep it...too much hassle to return.
Cat broke it the second day I had it.
Comments about Product: I put the apple in the window nearest my table where the bugs seemed to gather. The feet broke off when the cat played with it but the apple itself just shed "layers" of glass so it seems fairly hardy if not dropped on a tile floor!

Comments about Product: Very attractive item on my kitchen counter.
Comments about Product: I ordered on-line and selected red in text, but the color in the picture was green (green text had red apple). I should have gone with the picture not the text because I received green. Although the apple was substantial, the stem plug top didn't rest in the apple correctly and it looked like the leaf was on upside down. sending back.

Comments about Product: The glass trap is very pretty, but the lure that goes with it is ineffective. Not one single fruit fly!
By crafty Carol
Comments about Product: I always have trouble with fruit flies in the summer. Since I put this apple out with cider vinegar and a little soap I no longer have fruit flies. I use to keep a small dish on my counter with vinegar and dish soap and it worked but it evaporated pretty fast and was easy to spill. The apple seems to have solved both those issues for me plus it is just too pretty for words.
One apple keeps the fruit flies away
Comments about Product: It does what it says it does----No fruit flies. It doesn't get any better than that.
Nice and Artistic
Comments about Product: I like the crackled glass. Very nice looking. Doesn't look like a bug trap. Since I have it sitting out on the counter - that's a good thing.
I haven't seen any fruit flies around yet, so can't say if it works (too early in the season). I'm sure it does.
The unit itself is very nice and not badly priced especially when on sale, but seems a bit expense after you purchase the lure part.
I only ordered the red apple.
