We love it. It dresses up the fireplace. It's so nice to be able to just open the doors and not have to move the whole screen. It is very will constructed. It was shipped when they said it would be and it arrived in perfect condition. A great deal for the price. I just discovered "Plow and Hearth", and I cannot wait to order more from them. Great stuff. My new favorite store!

I haven't seen my purchase yet. It was broken in transit and sent back to P&H without being delivered. I am still waiting for the replacement. It has been two months since ordering it (and paying for it). I requested that it be double-packed and shipped express, but I'm not hopeful that both of these requests will happen. We'll see...

This screen was backordered so we had to wait longer than expected, however it was well worth the wait once we received it! It was packed well and arrived in perfect condition. It installed in only a few minutes and is a perfect fit. We searched everywhere for a fire screen that had screen doors (not glass) for our gas log fireplace. We are able to use the remote starter and enjoy the heat without having to open the doors, as was not the case with our old glass door screen. This was the best screen we found for the price, and we are very impressed at how sturdy and attractive it is. The narrow strips of decorative glass around the borders or the screen doors add a little more elegance and interest to the screen. We did not install the back brackets because the front ones give plenty of support and keep it flush against the fireplace opening.

This was backordered, but came in a brief period of time. Arrived all in one piece. It is heavy and extremely attractive. It served the purpose to update the glass doors with brass trim that were on the fireplace. It goes well with our Mission style home!

My husband installed this fireplace screen fairly easily (no major issues). It fit perfectly. I haven't started a fire yet, so I don't know how it looks in front of a fire. With no fire, this fireplace screen looks a little boring (to me). You can't really see much of the detail of the door or screen. But, I was looking for a simple firelace screen, and that's what I received. Overall, not bad - especially for the price. Also, it shipped about a week earlier than estimated, which was nice.

The screen is beautiful and it looks much more expensive than it is. Keep in mind - it is a screen, not glass doors but screen doors. If you are looking for glass doors then buy those. This isn't that. If you want a screen that had doors in it - this works great!

I went back and forth in my mind about buying this due to some negative reviews. We decided to go ahead and get it because the price was so reasonable and we loved the look of it! When it arrived, one of the doors didn't close quite right, but I didn't deduct anything from my review score as it doesn't hinder the screen's use. It looks amazing in front of our stone fireplace! We had our first fire with it last night and the doors work great, it allows easy access for tending the fire and the whole room just warmed up beautifully (we had glass doors and an old heatalator before and couldn't enjoy the fire near as much). I worried a bit about the magnets heating up and the doors not staying closed, but this was not an issue at all. We had the fire burning for about 8 hours and it was perfect!

I love Plow and Hearth and have ordered numerous products. We are pleased with this as well...the doors open and close well for use with a real wood burning fireplace, and the glass panel at the top solves the one problem with our fireplace: Occasionally we have smoke enter the room as the fire starts or dies down. The glass panel is positioned perfectly at the top of the firebox to remedy this. Only negatives: the first one arrived with several imperfections but P&H pleasantly and quickly replaced. Secondly, I would be much happier if it were made in the US.

It was easy to assemble and it sits firmly on my uneven stone hearth. I attached the back bottom supports. When my chimney sweep was here, he asked for a printout of the screen on Plow & Hearth's web site to show to his clients.

We mainly need the screen to keep the cats from trying to get in the fireplace when not in use. We just recently purchased gas logs and mainly wanted something decorative that functioned more like doors than a simple screen. This is perfect and beautiful.

My first order from Plow & Hearth has been amazing from start to finish! Not only did the firescreen arrive within record time, but it is a perfect fit to my fireplace! It looks as though it was custom designed for just that space, and is strong, perfectly aligned, substantial, a good buy for the price, and very easy to assemble. As suggested by another reviewer, I did not install the back legs for a flush fit against the opening. I am impressed all the way around!

I was very disappointed that the doors were screen not glass (it's glass around the screen.) other then that, very beautiful. Would recommend to someone who wasn't looking for glass doors.

It had uneven handles but I didn't want to take the time to get a replacement. That is the only fault.
