Comments about Product:
I received this as a gift from a dear friend who knows about my Reynauds. It works like a charm!I found that simply keeping it in my pants pocket while I am teaching warms my core temperature enough to ward off the Reynauds! It's so easy and convenient to recharge with my computer, too!

It does not work.
Comments about Product:
It does not work. I have tried everything to make it work. I recharged it and went out and tried to use it ad it never would turn on. I still cannot get it to turn on.

This is what I was looking for!
Comments about Product:
I use a pair of Wristies, but it is sometimes not enough while using a computer. This product definitely helps me when I need extra warmth for my cold hands.

Good product
Comments about Product:
I have mild Raynaulds and have always used the liquid heat packs to keep my hands warm in the car or when I am indoors and the temperature is too chilly but the downside of those is that once used and cooled you can't use it again until you melt it down. This is a good idea and I was amazed at how well and easy it was to use. At work the air conditioning in the summer is too high sometimes and this worked great to warm my blue fingers. It was simple to just plug it into my computer to recharge to have it ready to use again. I would definitely recommend this and I will be ordering a back up one also.

Wonderful, useful warmers
Comments about Product:
I have Reynauds syndrome and these warmers keep my hands warm and help my hand circulation. Love them. I do recharge using an adaptor and not the computer--a bit faster.

The Olla: A Brief History

Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.

When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.

The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.

Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!

How it Works:

Water is pulled directly through the terra-cotta!
