Comments about Product: It's pretty on the outside, but horrible on the inside. The inside walls were full of rattan "spears". My poor cat wouldn't go inside, and I see why. She was about to become a shish kabob. I sent it back.
Comments about Product: More attractive than most cat play stations, but both of my cats crawled inside the lower compartment once, stayed for less than a minute and have not returned. Portholes seem too small even though my cats aren't large, cushions are lumpy and thin, and there are sharp edges of untrimmed rattan jutting out on the interior which are unsafe for the animals when they're inside the compartments. I'll need to do some serious trimming with my garden loppers if I keep the piece. I'm giving the cats a couple more days to show an interest and if they don't, it's going back.
Comments about Product: I didn't like the pillows at all-not thick enough to cushion the cats from the rattan (and they smaelled awful). What I did discover was that the "beds" are exactly the size of the 24 can cardboard food boxes. Two are needed for the middle and bottom "bunks." I cut two long sides down to the base of the cardboard and inserted one in the closed area, the other for the outer area and taped the two cut sides flat to form a continuos piece of cardboard. The cats love it-saw two curled up together even on the top tier. I'm making fleece covers for the different levels.
Comments about Product: I ordered this for my 16 lb. Maine Coon. He sleeps in my bed and drives me nuts all night moving around. Hoping he will go to this as he likes to hide. It is nice, though smaller than it appears. I am disappointed in the pillows. I almost thought it had been used. The stuffing is all balled up in all of them. I had to pull at it to distribute it in the pillows. If I keep this (as in if my cat seems to like it), I will open up the pillows, remove the stuffing that is there, and replace with a washable pad of some kind. At least that way they will appear to be nice pillows. I am not sure I feel it is worth the price - at this point - but I am willing to see if my cat likes it. Then it is worth every penny!
Comments about Product: Purchased for two 5 month old kittens. They took to it immediately and nap in it frequently. I thought this might give us our bed back but at night they still prefer to snuggle next to us. But it appears to be well made and they do use it frequently. I recommend it and would purchase it again if I needed it.
Comments about Product: We have three kitty cats and they all love the new addition to the family room. It is very attractive but we just wish it was a little higher so that it could reach window level so they could lay on the top levels and look outside at the birds (obviously a favorite hobby). Thinking about buying another for upstairs.
Comments about Product: I would recommend this Cat Castle to anyone, especially if they have more than one cat. Our older cat immediately claimed he bottom "bunk." Our younger cat sleeps on the top "bunk." The top tier is too small for either of them to lay on to take cat naps, though. The rattan looks beautiful with the furniture in our family room. It seems to be well constructed and is very sturdy.
Comments about Product: This is a very attractive, high quality piece. The way we use it, because we have a dog that also loves to eat the cat food, is to use the second level as an area to place a bowl of cat food inside the enclosed area and the dog is unable to reach it. The bottom level she sleeps in and it's plenty big but I wish the openings were just a little taller since this is a full grown big cat. She has adjusted to it and does use it so it's really working for us. Makes her area all together and looks very nice. Almost like a piece of furniture. We were unsure about spending this much but it's really taken care of the problem we were having with the dog. It made it worth it to us. Top level is not really useful for us because our cat is too big but I could see it working for smaller cats or kittens. If you take the cushion out it, it could also be used to store supply's,etc.
Comments about Product: the shipping was very quick and it was ready to go out of the box. My cats loved it right away and are still using it, it fits my large 18 lb cats and my small kitties. I just wish the pillows were a little better but I added padding under the pillows and it's perfect. Great Hideaway for the cats in your life. there is always one of them snoozing away on it and it seems I have less fighting now. I am happy I bought it.
Comments about Product: My cats haven't used it much yet but I'm sure they will once our Christmas tree is down. I will be placing it in our sunroom where the tree is now. So they will be able to sit on top and watch the birds outside. Very good construction of the unit. Was shipped promptly. I've always received great service from your company.
Comments about Product: This is a very attractive piece and looks nice in my family room. The cats love the lower bed, and will sometimes sit on the upper one, however, they are large cats and seem to find the middle bed too cramped. There are quite a few loose twigs on the interior portions of this piece as well, although they are easily removed.
Comments about Product: Fast delivery........couldn't believe how well built it was........and great lookinng.........could but it in any living room as a great piece of furniture...........couldn't believe my one cat slept in the bottom tier with the heat , but loved it......2 out of my 4 cats really like it........the other 2 are in the checking it out phase.....was pleasantly surprised how nice it looks.......................
Comments about Product: We have had this over a year now. Our two kitties really love it. It did take a while for our female cat to start using it. Neither one really use the bottom level very much. They like seeing outside from the two levels. The batting in pillows is a bit flimsy. I covered the pillows with our own materials as the kitties didn't seem to like the pillows until I did this.
Comments about Product: Speedy delivery.. I have been eyeing this for months, but hesitant because of the price. It is made very well.. My 3 cats have all taken up residence on it immediately. WORTH it....
Comments about Product: I have 5 cats and only one of them gets in the bottom to sleep, the upper tiers are not used at all. Its pretty big to have in the house just for that, could have gotten away with a much smaller bed. I have it right next to a window, thought they would get on the top tier to look out, but for some reason they don't. I had high hopes for this but honestly would not buy it again.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
