Its a nice feeder but not squirrel proof
Comments about Product:
It's not Squirrel proof even with a 52" angle arm, but I like cuz the squirrels got to jump and hang upside down, they are fun for me t watch. My wife hates it because the squirrels chase away the birds its all with you can deal with. It should not be listed as squirrel proof.

The feeder was everything they said it would be. Love how it lights up at night. And it's great to find a feeder where the squirrels don't RULE!

Covered with small birds all day long!
Comments about Product:
We love this feeder! It serves multiple small birds at the same time and they feed all day! Hang in front of a window and enjoy it all winter long!!! Dont forget to feed the larger birds like mourning doves beneath it:)

Comments about Product:
Purchase this snowman to enjoy outside my window during the winter months because I like to see the birds. My cat also enjoys watching the birds and sits entertained for most of her days. It is well-made/solid and not a cheap bendable mesh. It is very easy to fill and ready to hang with its own attached hook. Within a a few hours the birds found it and the tree was full of joy with their coming and going to this feeder. I purchased two more for gifts!

Love it and so do the squirrals!!
Comments about Product:
Just to let you know I live in Wisconsin and I have this on a shepards hook and the squirrals jump to get on it and eat the black oil sunflower seeds! For most people it would be irratating, but there so funny to watch that my neighbors and I laugh at them, hanging upside down. I just love this snowman!!!

Solar Snowman Birdfeeder
Comments about Product:
I was disappointed in this birdfeeder. You have to use sunflower seeds or safflower seeds as any other seed you fill this with it goes right through the mesh. Bought these as gifts and was not pleased. I will be returning them.

snowman feeder a hit
Comments about Product:
I bought my Dad this bird feeder for Christmas about 2 years ago. He lives in Wyoming. The birds really love it. If there is not room on the feeder the other birds in the yard wait there turn even though there are other feeders in the yard. It is a big hit.

The Olla: A Brief History

Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.

When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.

The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.

Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!

How it Works:

Water is pulled directly through the terra-cotta!
