Serene Angle
Comments about Product:
My son gave me this lovely lady for my 58h birthday in April. She has been standing at the corner of my home all year and she adds such serenity to my landscaping and home! There seems to be a short inside the solar charger and I have to go out from time to time and give it a peck to get the lantern to burn. (there needs to be a way to change the bulb inside the lantern). I have received so much joy from this gift that I'd recommend her to anyone wanting to add some beauty, serenity, and grace to their landscape!

Angel statue
Comments about Product:
I am in the process of making my dream garden sanctuary/oasis and plan to have this angel as one of the focal points of the garden. She will be the protector/overseer of the garden. She is awesome. My daughter-in-law just saw her last night and has to have one like her!

No light in my garden
Comments about Product:
I like the product; even with some of the bushier and taller plants, you can see the angel. So far, no luck getting the solar light to work - I'll be checking the batteries and hope that fixes the problem. I feel that for what it costs, you should be able to change the bulb! Instructions inside tell you the bulb lasts about 3-5 years! That's disappointing. I don't recall the original ad giving that information.

Love the Angle, not the lamp.
Comments about Product:
We love the statue and have it setting in the garden. The first night the lantern came on and since then we have been unable to get the solar light to work. It's beautiful as is, I would like the lanter to shine at night.

Resin Garden Angel w/Solar-Lit Lantern
Comments about Product:
The angel will be used at a cemetery memorial for veterans. The size will be perfect for the memorial. The angel will stand out but not take over.

The Olla: A Brief History

Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.

When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.

The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.

Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!

How it Works:

Water is pulled directly through the terra-cotta!
