Love my frog
Comments about Product: I just got this rain gauge and it hasn't rained, but I can't wait to see my little frog indicating how much rain we got for the day. For now, I am enjoying this cute frog in one of my pots outside the window, but eventually, he will move farther out so can collect the rain.
Comments about Product: Easy to read numbers in increments! Love it!

Comments about Product: Have to find a stake, bought the rabbit and it will not stand on own in any weather! Very cute otherwise.

Not quite what I expected
Comments about Product: It's cute but the only metal is the umbrella.
Comments about Product: We love this frog it is in our garden it allows us to keep track of the rain and water level on a daily basis. We live right off of a lake in upstate NY and this year was tough with the lack of snowfall leaving our lake very low this Spring. The lake with the rainfall we have received has come up to where it needs to be being able to keep track of the daily rainfall with this adorable frog is just perfect. We just love it. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a very functional yet very attractive garden accent.
Who makes a rain gauge that rusts???
Comments about Product: I received this as a present, and it's adorable. However, the bottom part is rusting! Who makes a rain gauge that isn't rust-proof? P&H, is there any way to fix this?
Comments about Product: I bought two, one for myself and one as a gift. We both love it. Looks so cute sitting out on my Patio.
CUTE AND SUBSTANTIAL
Comments about Product: I love it. It's functional with a touch of whimsy. Also nicely heavy-weight, this should stand up for years. I also bought an extra glass tube.
Comments about Product: much as I like the rain gauge I was very disappointed in didn`t have at least a spike to put in in the ground. this will severly limit my use ability. have to figure a way to keep it upright.
Comments about Product: This is an adorable addition to my garden. Its made of sturdy metal, a perfect size and I love the rain collection feature. Very happy with my purchase and I got it on sale for a steal!
Comments about Product: Our umbrella frog is back at work again but all 4 of us will remember to bring the gauge inside if it freezes again.

Cute but Worthless
Comments about Product: There is no stake to hold it in the ground - it sits on it's small base which doesn't work in a garden. The weld to hold the rain gauge to the frog broke off and then the glass tube broke. Didn't even have it for an hour and it was broken. It's cute so now it is propped against a shrub but can't measure rain or stand up by itself.
Comments about Product: Vet well-priced (on sale); gift for sister & one for me.
Comments about Product: A cute addition to my garden and what a bargain...would make a nice gift for a gardener.

Very cute frog!
Comments about Product: The frog rain gauge is very cute and is a nice addition to our garden. I also bought a second as a gift, which was well received. I did expect it to be a big larger, but it looks great in a potted plant. Very well constructed. It is also nice that you can order a back-up rain gauge in case something happens to the first one.
Comments about Product: Cute little frog. Will be great in the garden.

Cute Frog Rain Gauge
Comments about Product: Stands in the ground solidly. Easy to use. The only downfall was that it took 3 deliveries to delivery the 3 pieces (frog, glass tube, stake)!
Great little frog catches every raindrop
Comments about Product: He's keeping track of each precious drop of rain here in the dry southwest.
Bring on the Rain
Comments about Product: Frog hasn't been too busy this summer due to little rainfall; however, the umbrella keeps it from a sunburn. Cute as pie...Love it!!!
Rain guage is just OK
Comments about Product: The only problem I see is the holder that you place the glass tube into rusts and discolors the bottom part of the tube guage
Cute on the patio
Comments about Product: Glass guage is easy to read. Frog sits in flower barrel on my patio and he is cute
Comments about Product: Bought it as a gift for my wife, now my mom and her mom want one for their yards! Is larger than i'd thought it would be.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
