I ordered this item because I had purchased the whole advertised item in the past and needed replacement slings. The sling seemed well made, but was much flimsier than the original that came with the original frame.

We bought this 3-4 years ago, and it has held up well. It is convenient, and I like the fold-up rack to keep it out of the way. The sling is strong and mostly easy to load.

What I don't like is that there's nothing to capture the wood chips, so we end up with a trail from the pile to the fireplace. It also has seemed to stretch some, so it doesn't fit as well in the rack as it used to (so the wood leans a bit as you're unloading it, making more of a mess). Some minor changes to enclose the sides would make this a great product.

I like the design of the metal rack, but the leather sling hangs too loose in the rack. The handles are flimsy and sag down. It does not look at all like the image online in terms of the quality of the leather. The leather looks much thicker and it fits cleanly in the rack.

Use this to hold wood near the woodstove. Keeps it stacked neat & tidy. When empty, can lift out leather sling I& shake out chips & debris.

I have this indoors for now - on the hearth but the leather sling is hard to carry when it is full (i.e. longer handles would help) and it needs leather bits on the two ends to capture bark and saw dust debris. This summer I will use it out of doors where the messy aspect will not be important.

I BOUGHT THIS FIREPLACE SLING AND RACK FOR CHRISHMAS. HE LOVED IT! WE USED IT ALL WINTER AND IT STILL LOOKS LIKE NEW. IT IS EASY TO FOLD UP AND STORE DURING WARM WEATHER.

This is too convenient not to have. Easy to keep near the fireplace for trips to the wood pile. Folds up for easy storage. The handles are comfortable and easily return to the rack. No need to hide this rack. It's as stylish as it is durable.

We use the carrier daily in the winter to transport wood from the pile to the house, if the carrier gets wet it doesn't get flimsy. It is large enough to carry several logs.

Used all winter to bring in firewood from stack out by porch. Easily brought in 8-10 cuts depending on circumference to place in firewood holder by wood stove. Nice leather design, sturdy and well made. Kept floor clean from transporting from outside to inside the house.
