Flying Dragonfly Solar Mobiles With Bright LEDs

The first of these mobiles I received did not work. When I called Plow and Hearth customer service, they were extremely helpful about arranging for a replacement to be sent at no extra charge. The second has worked perfectly and is a lovely outdoor decoration. I would recommend this product with the caveat that it may arrive defective and you will have to be prepared to return it for another.

Decorate the night yard

I love mine. Unfortunately, I also bought the hummingbirds for a gift. That will have to be returned as it does not work.

I bought two and have the hanging from my gazebo. Very bright and cute too!

Nice during the day-at night light up the back yard

This dragonfly mobile was purchased by my husband for a Valentine's Day gift. What a lasting gift. I love them. He likes they so much, he will buy the butterflies next.

Received 2 sets as gift. Hung them off the arbor in the back yard. They light up bright and beautiful. I get so many compliments on them. I will be purchasing more.

Everyone happy with their gifts

This was a gift for my mom. She said the box had no directions and none inside the box. She thought it did not work. They found the switch 2 days later. Why aren't instructions included?

The first one of these I got didn't work. Second one lose one of the dragonflies when I dropped it, but it is so beautiful that I bought one for a gift for a friend. Love the look. Just wish it were a little sturdier

lots of sun first day - lit beautifully that night, stayed lit for over 6 hours - awesome at night, especially with a breeze - be sure to turn the "on" button on! am going to order the butterfly one as well - very pleased with purchase - was wrapped very carefully -

A wonderful mobile that is hanging just outside our patio door. It begins glowing after sundown. Very nice! When the lights did not come on the first night. I began inspecting it and found an off/on switch. A simple set of instructions would have helped.

All are gifts so will not know until after the Holidays.

It comes on at dark. Is very bright. Looks good in the yard both day and night.

I ordered this and hummingbirds. This one was packed just fine, but the I think the hummingbirds must have been a return they were anxious to get rid of. The outside box had no packaging to protect it AND neither did the inside. Now I need to try it out ASAP to see if it actually works.

I think this product had come back and was resold as the dragonflys lit up as soon as I turned on the on button. This did not happen with the other one.

Also, one dfly was not attached to the string. I taped it but it does not light.

No directions came with the dragonfly mobile, but knew from similar solar products to turn the switch on to charge. Works great, bright light at night. Goes well with all the other solar dragonflies I have in my yard.

I loved the dragonflies when I first got them. However, only after a couple nights use, they came on for a few minutes and would then go off and never come back on. I still have them hanging on my deck because they pretty in the sunlight. Very disappointed.

I've had the dragonflies in my front yard for 5 weeks now. I have not had any battery issue thus far and, for the price, I think these little guys are worth it! My dragonflies survived a fall intact (the stick they hung from had broken).

While the dragonfly mobile is whimsical in the garden during the day, it has yet to light up at night from the stored solar power.

I purchased all 3 different figures awhile back and hung them on the back deck, they looked really nice at night. So, I recently ordered more as gifts for friends and family, plus more for myself. When the new ones arrived I noticed the access door for the battery was not there as with my first ones. The style had been changed. Guess you need to remove the 3 screws and the entire back to change a battery. Then, one of the first that I had bought with my original order stopped lighting, and the battery was still good. So, they only work for 3 months or so? And several of the new ones that I just purchased recently won't work. At[$] each, and I've purchased 12 altogether now, I am very disappointed in the quality.

We hung it near our hot tub on deck and it is perfect, good product for the price!

My sweet sister sent this to me for my birthday and I love it! I have it hanging where I can see it standing at the kitchen sink, it faces west so gets lots of sunlight... Very bright light and it simply intrigues the cat! Thanks Sis!

As another reviewer noted, solar lights are unpredictable. For the first few weeks, these lights turned themselves on when the sun set. Just lovely, delicate little lights that shined all night. Seriously: One morning, I found them still shining just before sunrise.
Now? Well, after about 6-8 weeks, sometimes they turn on and sometimes they don't.
I live in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and my yard faces south. These lights receive A LOT of sunlight all day long--enough light that should adequately charge the solar batteries.
I won't be surprised if I'm looking to replace the battery before too much longer.
I'm recommending these with reservations--they still look nice in the sunlight.

I was so pleased with the solar dragonflies that I purchased twice again for gifts, but the second one has not arrived yet!! So disappointed!! Very Very upset as it was to be a birthday gift. kb
