I gave this to my husband for his birthday. He is very difficult to shop for. He looked at it and asked me what it was. I told him you use it like a bellows, instead of putting your head in the wood stove and blowing. IT'S A KEEPER. First gift I haven't returned in a long time. I'll keep shopping for him at Plow & Hearth.

Purchased the product to use with our wood stove. We let the fire die down at night. In the morning, we add some kindling and use the fire dragon to ignite the coals. Works every time. No matches, no lightheadedness from blowing, no bending. The prongs on the end make it easy to lift the wood to circulate the air beneath. I plan to take it camping this summer for the campfires. You won't regret this purchase.

I gave this to my husband as a gift last Christmas. We use this for our outdoor fire pit and are impressed with the multi-tasking of this poker every time we use it. When entertaining it is quite the conversation piece and all partake in stoking the fire with it.. My husband says this is the best gift ever and I couldn't agree more!!

Great for all those who like to play with fire. The weld near the blower is weak and we had to get our's replaced at the store (great staff and very helpful in the Annapolis, MD store). I hope this one last. Overall, reccommended.

Love this. Beautifully designed in well-crafted black metal with brass mouthpiece. so much better than watching uncle bob get down there and blow ashes everywhere. suprisingly useful to adjust logs as well. Highly recommend.

The name "Fire Dragon" truly suites this tool. Small sparks and embers ignite into big flames when blowing on them. You'll feel like you have a mouth blow torch when you use it!

years ago I had purchase a beautiful all brass on from P&H. Polished, shiny, had a cast poker/hook end, and the air holes exited both sides of poker.
Exquisite. (gone)
Ordered this one, and I receive thin brass, poorly executed (it's bent), unpolished brass mouth piece, and the blow tube is painted and of a questionable metal. Oh! WHAT WE HAVE LOST in craftsmanship, sigh. Same price approximately. :o( rake at end is good innovation... however... I recommend it as a tool. I don't recommend its quality.

I bought this item for my husband for Christmas. He had been asking for a bellows. I did some research, read a lot of reviews and price compared the bellows. I decided on the fire dragon. My husband thought I was crazy then he used it. He says its the best gift he has ever got. He can get the fire going in about 3 blows. I'm nice and warm and he doesnt complain anymore about starting the fire. Works great!

I had been eyeing this product for a while. I should have gotten it sooner. When you need air blown under a fire to get it going this is the perfect tool. The only con is its length. I use it in my house to get my floor level fireplace insert going again. If I'm sitting on the floor tending my fire I have to kneel up or stand to use this. A shorter version, although not best for some applications, would be a nice option.

I had previously received this type of productfrom Plow and Hearth. Liked the first one better. They work the same, but the mouthpiece is too large on this one.

Have to do a lot of blowing and get lightheaded in the process to get minimal results. Trust me, stick with a good old bellows.

great replacement for a bellows on an outdoor fire pit. My husband worries about the mistake of inhaling smoke and/or ashes if one is not paying attention. Maybe a screen within the mouthpiece would reduce that risk.
