Comments about Product: These look nice on my windows during the day and they're very easy to install. Unfortunately, as others have commented, the candle flame color is yellow-orange, and does not go with any other lighted decorations, such as a wreath. I am not going to order the white bulbs based on others' comments. Please, Plow & Hearth, get warm white bulbs for next season!!!
Comments about Product: Wanted these for 3 windows on the 2nd floor of our home. 1st floor has 2 bow windows that I put Christmas trees in. The light bulbs are a different color than the electric plow & hearth candles that I put in the 22 other windows.
I can not find bulbs to match, also, I set the lights to go on at 5:00 pm and off at 1:00 am. 2 do 1 stays on until I unscrew it at 7:00 am.
Comments about Product: It took me forever to figure out how to put it together and get it in the window so it looked like the picture in the catalog. There really were no directions and the pictures that were supposed to be directions were tiny and no help at all. I was very frustrated and almost sent them back. Ended up calling Plow and Hearth for help.
Comments about Product: I just love these.. I bought then 2 years ago and I keep them out all winter . But i am in need of replacement bulbs right now and have no idea how to find them..Wish Plow and Hearth carried them
Comments about Product: I bought these 7 yrs ago for four all four of my front windows,I was delighted with their look and received complainants galore~ Even in the wind, rain, snow & ice of winter they held up perfectly~ I have never had to replaced a bulb in 7 yrs but I am looking at the replacements just to have~ I can't say enough great things about them.. I wish all my Christmas decorating was as easy!! We added new replacement flip in windows last December and they still work great!!! Love love~
Comments about Product: The product looks very nice once you fluff it up a bit. However, the bracket does not work on my newer windows -- your window sash must be absolutely flat without any "ledges" inside. I had to tie the swags to the windows, and because the candles are built in with the brackets, I can't use the candles at all.
Comments about Product: I have these on either side of my front door. They add alot without being "too much" The part that goes into the window is a little tricky (in my windows) to get just right, but have stayed put.
I really like these!
Comments about Product: This is the third one I bought for my front windows.
It fits well in the place I put it and matches the two I bought last year. I did not care for the red bow so I bought a different one at another store.
All in all adds to our house for the holiday season.
Comments about Product: I love the swag but don't like the blue led lights in the candles. This year I ordered replacement bulbs in yellow but they don't fit. Just wondering if there is a yellow bulb for this product? Any suggestions?
Comments about Product: I have had these for 2 years and my husband and I both love them! They look so festive but not specifically Christmasy that I leave mine up through February. We are able to use them in our windows that are too high to decorate from the outside. I smile everytime I pull into my driveway and see the welcoming candle glow.
Held up through all kinds of nasty weather & wind. First decoration we put up and last one to come down.
Comments about Product: I've had mine for five years and the bulbs still seem to operate fine. I'm getting replacements through this website just to make sure next year I have plenty. Although I put all 12 of mine, they have weathered rain and snow and it is unbelievable, but they still look as great as they did during year one. However, I did keep the bags, boxes and instructions so they have been well treated over the years. I don't always feel like putting a tree up, and even when I don't these bring out that festive Christmas spirit in me and my neighborhood. I have received many compliments. I just have to switch things up each year by adding other different Christmas decorations to the mix. I doubt I'll ever get sick of these and they aren't cheap looking at all. I have seen others that aren't as classy. Obviously, I love mine. Not sure why they didn't get higher reviews by others.
Comments about Product: I bought a pair of these swags last year. 1 candle failed mid season. The replacement I was sent is not the same as original and is not for out door use. I hesitate to purchase the replacement bulbs for fear they won't be correct either. the replacement bulbs are white base or off-white base. The swag candle bulbs have gold bases!
Comments about Product: While they look beautiful, the bulbs don't last as long as they claim. This is the second year I have used 4 of the swags. One bulb didn't work at first and now 2 are not working. I had trouble ordering new bulbs, but with the great help of the cutomer service folks we met with success. The bulbs I received are exactly what I need, but the packaging says "for indoor use only". Now what do I do ? I paid almost $40 each for the swags and their candles don't live up to the description. I'm disappointed.
Comments about Product: We've owned these swags for several years, and they look as good today as when they were new. They take moments to place in our upstairs windows and stay in place through snow storms and howling wind. Highly recommend these swags for outdoor holiday decorating!
Comments about Product: We have received lots of commpliments from people who think that the greenery is alive. Last winter was nasty and they look as good this year as when we first purchased them. The candles come on automatically in the dark which is most convenient.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
