I was expecting the lights to be softer-glowing than they are. I've always had candles in the windows, and they give nice light to the rooms. These show very little light. I do love the fact that they are battery-operated, as I have few outlets in my home, and the colonial look is just what I wanted.
I also have the "yellow" bulbs, but they are a bit too "orange" looking.
