        Looks good for the price

Just purchased this set last week and am happy with the purchase so far. The set looks great, is comfortable (even without the cushions) and was good value for the sale price I paid. The chairs come fully assembled and the set is pre-oiled to withstand the elements. Haven't put the table together yet but so far looks ok. A good set if you don't want to spend too much on a teak patio set but still want a "good look."

        Just what I wanted

This table and chair combination fits nicely on my back porch, and is light enough that I can carry it inside for the winter by myself. My only suggestion would be to get chair pads as the seats can get uncomforable after a while.

        Nice Table, smart design

        By Tom Y

        from Sunnyvale CA

Smart design the way the leaf folds into the table and stores under the table. No more searching for the leaf when needed. Fit and finish could be a little better but for the price, not bad. We'll see how it holds up over time. It has just been put into service so I can't say at the moment if I would recommend this table to a friend.

Nice table set, but some QC issues

        By Rick the Librarian

        Pros

        • Excellent Finish
        • Good workmanship

        Cons

          Best Uses

          • Hardware missing
          • Incomplete instructions
          • Pre-installed screws miss

The "wood" part of the table was excelent. The design of the table was very good. The extension was cleverly designed to fit under the table. However, there were some quality control issues. One of the 12 screws needed was missing, another had the top "slot" filled in and was unusable. Three of the pre-installed screws, all on one corner, were missing, which could have resulted in the table being pulled apart or even broken. On a table set costing [$], this is unacceptable.P&H also needs to provide a better set of instructions - there was no mention of how the extension was installed or put away. Also nothing included about care of the wood.Basically, a decent table for the money, but some serious QC issues need to be addressed.
