Comments about Product: These black cat pumpkin holders are the perfect addition to spooky October decorations. They are lightweight, so they can be conveniently portable. The LED eyes brighten up any gloomy afternoon!
Comments about Product: I just love these cat/kitten pumpkin holders! Halloween is my favorite holiday and I have many different types of decorations but these are one of my all time favorites! I didn't realize when I ordered that the heads are on a little spring so they bob back and forth. So cute. When the eyes are lit up they dazzle and even when turned off they look like little crystals. I read a couple reviews about disappointment with the sizes but honestly I think they are perfect for tabletops, islands, courtyard tables, etc. I am thrilled with this purchase.
Comments about Product: I was surprised to read "D" in Florida's review which said that batteries weren't included because there were batteries in mine.
While putting the little head on I accidentally dropped it, which caused a chip of black paint to come off of one ear. Guess there should have been a protective coating applied over the paint (?). But over all it's really cute, especially if you are a cat lover. :-)
Comments about Product: I saw a similar Halloween pumpkin holder in a magazine and noted the website. This cat pumpkin holder was found on the website and I knew I had to have them! Easy ordering on the website and delivery in about a week (it said "out of stock" but delivery was quick and efficient). The product was well packaged. This is one of the best Halloween decorations ever and I really love them. I was concerned about the larger cat holding a heavy pumpkin but they are sturdy and well made. LED eyes are a tad bright so I don't use them - be great in a window display, however. I have the "kitten" on my kitchen counter and the "mom" on a table in my sun room. Thank you Plow and Hearth!
Comments about Product: Did not understand that the cat head and tail had to be impaled into pumpkin, thus starting early decay of the pumpkin. Perhaps I should have realized from the photo, not the description, that the cat head and tail were not attached to holder. Also, beware: you have to buy the batteries for the glowing cat eyes. As usual, batteries not included!
Comments about Product: These cat displays were just what I expected. And I LOVE the LED lights in the eyes.
I bought them to use outside on my front porch, and I am, but they're so small. Especially the little one - it's really really small. I'd pay more for these if they would hold big pumpkins.
Comments about Product: This item was placed on backorder from the original purchase. Since this was a gift, inquired about when it would be available and never received a response. The only way i knew the item had been delivered was the e-mail requesting a rating. Not real good customer eperience.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
