It works as advertised. It's far more convenient than covering wood rack with a full tarp that you have to untie and remove every time you want to get firewood from the rack. The only drawback to the floating cover is that it blew off twice. A short bungy cord on each end of my rack keeps it on and still allows easy access to the wood.

This the second rack I have purchased from Plow & Hearth. The first I bought several years ago and it is still in service. This rack however is no where near as substantial as the first. I had to string re-enforcing wire between the end the ends in order to keep them from spreading apart as the wood was loaded onto the rack. Additionally the rack does not seem strong enough to support the full capacity of wood that will fit onto the rack. Having said all of this, you get what you pay for and I didn't pay all that much for this rack.
One other thing I would mention is the shipping container, which was emblazoned with the fact the product was from China, was also of such thin construction that UPS managed to tear it in several places to the point that they had to scotch tape it together and still managed to lose
some of the nuts and bolts to put the rack together with.

Can't fill the rack to capacity because the higher up you stack from the floor the rack starts spreading out left to right. Really only fills half full well.

Good quality. The height and width are good but the cover is cut too deep and and doesn't fit snuggly on the steel rack.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband, who is passionate about his firewood management. Fits perfectly in the only small space beside our house not already occupied by the large wood rack and recycling bins. He put it together on Christmas day and spent the morning moving wood into it--a real hit!

I got the extra large rack. It was relatively easy to set up but did not come with enough nut & bolt sets to finish the assembly. It was one set short. It is bowing out a bit now that it's filled with wood but so far it is holding up. I had thought it would be sturdier than it seems to be.

I'm giving it 2 stars because the large has worked out well for us but the extra large is very flimsy and falls over. After picking it up and restacking the wood 3 times, I'm giving it up for scrap metal. The cover is well made.

This is our third wood rack from Plow and Hearth. racks from other sources have fallen apart over time, these are still in good shape. Easy for one person to assemble.

This is the second cover our family has purchased.
It is used from November to May to cover a wood pile close to the house. The velcro opening makes it so easy to reach both ends of the wood pile since we have oak at one end and pine at the other end. The sun darkened the top but it did not wear thru. Husband just wanted another one.

I had such a tough time getting the sides to fit into the bottom. I gave up. It sits with my wood filled into a partially constructed holder.

But still.. the thing is super strong! Love it

We ordered the large firewood organizer and the heavy-duty cover. After the very first snow/ice storm, we went to remove the ice to get to the firewood and noticed that it had a giant rip on top. Outdoor furniture covers are so cheaply made but this one touted durability. Not true.

After our trip to the woodlot to stock up for the winter in Maine we loaded this rack, probably well beyond its intended capacity, but the rack did not seem to mind. It held a lot more than I expected but felt solid as a rock. I liked the size which gave me lots of options for placement. Will probably buy another one of these when we increase our stock of firewood. Easy to assemble in about a minute.

The rack and cover are of great quality. The cover is heavier and far more durable than I expected it to be. The rack was easy to put together -considering- I don't own a scewdriver; the mini-tools came with the instructions.

I've had 2 of these firewood racks for 2 yrs--no rust, despite being out in the elements. and ordered 3 more. They're tough, zero maintence, and firewood stays put--doesn't fall out.

This replaces a cover I bought many years ago. It has held up extremely well, but is finally ready to be replaced. I especially like the velcro which holds the sides down and makes it easy to get at the woodpile even in awful weather, without uncovering the whole thing.

Received the large wood racks on time and well packaged.
Assembly is easy. I use a screw gun and a ratchet wrench for @ 1/2 hour, but I'm kind of slow !
I burn 3 cords of wood each winter in two EPA type wood stoves. During a wet winter, the covers that are available with these racks are just the ticket. They're tough, durable, and weather tight. I tie down the covers with elastic cord, in case of a very high wind.
I stack the wood onto @12 large racks - just right for a space next to the house.
A bit expensive, but some of the 12 are over 5 years old and look as good as they day I bought 'em.

I have bought 12 of these racks to store four cords of wood and they are awesome. They are not inexpensive, but I expect to have these for years. Have half floating covers and half full covers and like them both -- covers cost about the same as sturdy tarps, but fit much better.

We've had the woodrack and cover for about 10 years. Actually, we've had several covers - they're pretty cheaply made, and will crack and split as soon as it gets really cold. They might last 3 years, if you tape the cracks in it. The rack is quite nice - yes, it's a bit wobbly without wood in it, but if it were heavy enough not to wobble when empty, you wouldn't be able to move it. For the first time, this summer I did a bit of touch up painting on the rack - it's had a lot of hard use, and the paint was worn off in a few places, but a bit of rust converter and a little gloss spray lacquer, and it lookes like new. Love it - tho I am disappointed - badly - in the cover. we've gone thru 3 or 4 of them, and I'm considering having one made of heavier material that will be more durable.

I use this product for storing wood. It looks nice and stores the wood evenly. There is a rust spot about as big as a 50cent oiece in the side. Hope it does't get worse during the winter.

This firewood rack keeps wood off the ground and neatly stacked. The cover fits over nicely and keeps it dry and ready to use for winter. Cover will lift up to take wood out as needed and then it is easily put back on. You need to bungee cord it on the sides if you live in an area with lots and lots of wind. No biggy though we do and it is no problem to undo and take wood out and then bungee back. We bought one a few years ago and now have bought another. The first one looks as good as the one we just bought. We think this is an excellent product.
