I was disappointed with the finish on the woo. although it was stained it looked unfinished and had splinters coming off. On the plus side, it looks really nice and is very comfortable to sit in.

I am so happy with this bench! It looks great on our front porch with the side table we ordered too. The wood is very nice looking and it seems like a very sturdy bench. My only trouble was figuring out how some of the screws fit in with a different type of nut. My husband figured that part out eventually and it was a pretty quick build after that.

Instructions are horrible. Poor graphics and no wording, just poor quality diagrams. Once built it is nice but do not over tighten glide bolts or it won't glide smoothly.

I was so excited when this went on sale so I could by it to go with the eucalyptus chaise I bought which is very comfortable. The glider looks attractive. I can't comment on durability, how strong the construction is, or how easy it is to clean yet as I just set it up which took a friend and myself almost 3 hours. The directions are not spelled out clearly, and there are cylindrical fittings that go into a hole and need to be lined up with a screw. You can not see where the hole is to line up the screw and this made it very difficult. There were also some screws left over that we have no idea where they belong. Other reviews said it was easy to assemble, but I would have to disagree. Nevertheless, it looks very attractive. If it is like the chaise, the screws will loosen up with use and can be easily tightened periodically. Seats two people comfortably. The glide is a little stiff, so the tightness of the glide bars probably just need to be adjusted to get it right, but I am waiting first to see if it loosens up a bit with use. So far it appears to be a good value for the price, and dealing with the staff at Plow and Hearth has always been a pleasant and accommodating experience.

Product was easily assembled and looks great. The only drawback to me is the choppy glider action, it does not operate smoothly and I believe that this is a design issue.

I bought this to replace a very beaten up and weathered bench (which wasn't painted to be outdoors) I had for 7 years. I put it together by myself in less than an hour (50 yr old female) and it's beautiful. I have it on our front porch and it definitely improves the whole appearance. I bought a cushion and 1 pillow too. I plan on painting clear varnish on it to keep the color. The instructions said I could use tung or teak oil too.

The only minor gotchas I'd say on the instructions in that it's not 100% clear which way to install the black metal swing arms. I figured out I had them backwards when they wouldn't swung over the railing. They are curved so that when installed on the bottom swing portion, they clear the frame. This is obvious but the drawing for that part of the assembly is so small so it wasn't immediately obvious until I bolted two of them on.

The glider was easy to assemble in our living room, then easy to move outdoors. we have it on our front porch area, surrounded by pots of colorful flowers. It glides very smoothly and holds the weight of two people easily.

We had a glider on the deck at our rented cottage at Schoolhouse Creek Inn near Mendocino, My spouse loved sitting on the glider, so when we renovated our decks last year it was time to replace the old furniture on the front deck with a new glider and side tables. They are perfect for the space.
