I love it. I was replacing an older smaller outdoor digital thermometer. It took a couple tries to get it to stick, but that is no different than any other suction cup item. Mine is in direct sun, so the reading isn't always reflective of the actual temp, but that's to be expected! Not sure what others are complaining about! I recommend this product.

I activated the battery, got a double image, the temperature changed the first time I activated it and then never waivered from 75.8º no matter where I put the thermometer. I threw it out - probably cost more to return it than it was worth in the first place. I order often from Plow and Hearth and this is the first time I've been disappointed.

I was very disappointed as the product was a returned item. The casing was bruised and the screws for the battery compartment were stripped.

Terrific outdoor thermometer..have had mine for over a year with no problems (all outdoor thermometers that use suction cups will on occasion fall due to barometric changes) mine did twice..but stood up. I am back now to buy more as gifts. The battery is still working!

Purchased two(2) for gifts. My neighbors is working fine. My brothers worked for 3 1/2 months then a scrambled display appeared. Thinking the factory provided button battery was weak, he replaced it. To no avail, still garbled.
Both units were placed beneath window awnings. Precipitation should not be a factor. Must have gotten a bad one.

I wanted it for outside on a window where it would be snowed and rained on and also get much colder than the thermometer can handle. I did not know it had to be under a shelter and in warmer temperatures or I would not have purchased it.

I gave one to several of my family members because I liked my dig.win.therm so much. I do wonder how long the battery will last. Time will tell.

We stuck this on the outside of the garden window in our kitchen...we enjoy being able to check the temperature outside but it is very hard to see in the sunlight. Other than that, we like the product a lot.

This thermometer is very hard to read through the window glass. You have to be looking directly at it (straight on) in order to even see the numbers and they are not very dark.

It works. Replacement for two other (different kind) outdoor thermometers that kept dying. Love the minimum/maximum temperature feature too.

Helps with getting ready for the day. It's in a bedroom window so we can dress as the day requires, eg when B gets ready to go to Curves at 0630, on a winter morning.

We keep an eye on the weather, more than the average person, so we were happy to receive this thermometer as a gift. Our pleasure was short-lived. It is not accurate. No matter where we placed it we were unable ever to obtain an accurate reading and some of the readings were actually laughable.

I agree with Diane from NJ. I can't get an accurate reading. One November day I got a 90 degree reading. I live in CT! I bought it to help me dress the kids appropiately in the early morning. I'm bummed because it doesn't work and I have to return it now.

I was disappointed in the fact the unit is not waterproof and the instructions sugggest it be placed away from the elements. Most windows are exposed to the elements, so this pretty much limits the use.

Nice to have highs and lows. Good for the baby room . Suction with rotation a good idea but never really sticks.

in COLD Minnesota weather the thermometer would fall off the window. It's those cold winter days when i really want to know the temp.
