My husband fell in love with this rocker when he saw it in a showroom. I was waiting for this item to go on sale and then was offered free shipping which definitely made up my mind to purchase the rocker. My husband put it together in less than an hour. Then he sat on it and there was an unsettling seperation of the side panel to the back of the rocker. When he looked at it closer it appeared that the pre-drilled hole was too big and would not support the screw to hold the panels together. He called customer service right away and they are sending us a new side panel. We are awaiting it's arrival, but the chair sits in the living room for the past week with a sign on it that reads,'Do NOT sit on broken chair".

Rocker is beautiful but had to buy a pad for the back and use with a lower back pillow. Without the pillows it is hard on the back. Love the padded seat both look and comfort.

This mission style rocker replaced a bulky lounge chair. My style is an eclectic mix of antique and family pieces we've had forever. The rocker fits with everything perfectly. Although it is a large piece, it looks good in my rather small room as it has a short rocker length, so it doesn't really take much space.

The rocker arrived in four days. It was packaged very well. My husband put it together in less than an hour. It's beautiful and very well made. I love my new rocker!!

This chair looks nice but is very uncomfortable. The back is flat and does not have any lumbar support. The vinyl seat is hot and tends to bottom out. It was designed to look good, assemble easily and pack well with no concern for ergonomics.

I had requested the box be put in the carport in case I wasn't home..it wasn't when I got home and it was getting rained on. The box looked as if it had been dragged behind the truck. There were several holes in the box. I was going to immediately call for a return but decided to look at it. I found one side had a piece of wood chipped off ( 1/2" x 2" ) but it doesn't show after assembly. One of the bolts that holds a rocker to the chair will not tighten down all the way. Only notice it if you pick the chair up. I like the chair but you should think about a different delivery company,

I love rockers and I had always been attracted to this rocker in the Plow and Hearth catalog. I finally decided to splurge and purchase it instead of just looking at it. I'm so glad I did. It is a beautiful piece of furniture and is very comfortable being large enough to curl up in. The rocking motion is very smooth and relaxing. This has definitely become my reading chair. I do not regret this purchase at all.

Others have commented on the great price and value--so I will only say I agree. My handyman had it assembled in about an hour. Everyone who has sat in it has loved it, including me. I am only 5'1" so I was concerned about others' comments that this rocker is for large or tall folks. A large pillow behind my back not only solved the problem of the depth of the seat--the rocker was also still perfectly balanced. I am ordering a second one today.

This was given to me by my mother as a Christmas gift. I was SO happy and very surprised. My husband had put it together at her house prior to Christmas. I was very pleased at first. It is a VERY big chair and comfortable. When it arrived at my house the next day via our suburban, I noticed a few small scrapes. I was initially irritated with my husband, thinking he had been careless. Or the next few days in our living room... I noticed a few more nicks. I took my fingernail and started exploring the nicks in the finish and discovered that the brown finish scraped off WAY too easily on the edges of the arm rests. I could not believe it! It is going back to P&H!

This huge chair is a good bargain. My wife and I are tall people and this chair really works for us. I'm considering getting another. Very impressive looking and guests are drawn to it. Most visitors say they find it very comfy and roomy. I haven't owned it long enough to confidently comment on its durability, but I will says that there were some minor issues with the build quality. I had to tap out a drill hole which wasn't quite big enough for the screws that came with it. No big deal, but not something I should have had to do. I think you'll like it, but be prepared for inconsistancy in the manufacturing quality. You could take a drill to it as I did, but I'm sure P&H would stand by their product in the event of defects.

Great quality for the price. This chair is hefty and nicely built. I was able to assemble it all myself, just needed a second pair of hands to turn it over. The leather seat is VERY firm, and it's a bit uncomfortable for us short women,as the front bar below the seat hits our legs. We were missing 2 vital screws, but they were mailed out to us right away. All in all it complements our leather furniture nicely.

We have other mission furniture in our family room, and this chair was the finishing touch! We have it near the fireplace, and it gets a lot of use. My son is 6 ft. 2 and he sits with room to spare - a terrific purchase!

Got here a week before we thought it would. Take your time assembling and it will go well. This is a slightly larger than normal rocker which was what we were looking for. My wife, who is 5'2", likes it as well.

I have to say that I was dubious about the quality of this piece of furniture but decided to see what it was all about. I was really surprised when I opened the box and saw how sturdy and heavy this was. [...] There is assembly required[...] I assembled it by myself in about an hour. It really is a beautiful piece of furniture and very sturdy. We have some hefty people around who have sat in it and feel very secure. It is comfortable to sit in, we have arguments on who gets this chair! I really couldn't think of a negative thing. This is a really beautiful chair and it goes together fairly easily. Pieces are well made and fit perfectly. The finished chair feels sturdy and looks just as pictured. I am very pleased with it.
