I bought this for my uncle for Christmas, so I haven't used the fatwood since it is a gift. The dancing bears container is so cute and seems very well made. I know he will enjoy it and my aunt will like it too, since it will keep the hearth tidy!

The item is very cute, and well-photographed. Looks much bigger in the representation. Also, it's made of steel, with a copper finish, not made of copper. It is structurally durable, but the finish scratches easily if the basket is used in context with a fireplace and holding/storing fatwood.

I bought this for our neighbor who loves to use his fireplace. I do think it is a great gift but honestly the price is high for the size of the container. It is much smaller than it appears on the website and in the catalog. However, it happened to be something that he loved!

I should have checked the reviews because a number of them would have alerted me to the VERY small size of this basket. Surprised the catalog has not yet been willing to give the dimensions of the basket.

I gave this as a present for my brother and sister-in-law at Christmas since they love to build fires at home and didn't have a place for their starter wood. They loved it. It was a little smaller than I had imagined it, but the dancing bear design is cute, and the copper color is very attractive. I bought this with a special offer at a reduced price. The four stars instead of five is simply for the price value if it were purchased at regular price -- it's a little pricier than I would have paid.

I actually bought this because of the container. My husband and I saw the picture and thought it would look great at our cabin. Unfortunately, we did not pay close attention to the dimensions. When it arrived, we were really suprised at how small it was. It is still cute, but rather misleading.

I thought this would look nice sitting on my hearth. However, it is too small to hold its own there. It looks silly. Right now, it's sitting on my coffee table, but that's not apropriate either. Get the bigger version is my advise.

Very cute. I use fatwood to start my fires but did not like having the box sitting on my hearth. This decorative holder solved my problem. It looks great sitting on the hearth holding my fatwood. I like to add some whimsy to my home and this fits the bill: whimsical and useful.
