We love this fan. It has increased our temperature of our upstairs by 4 or 5 degrees. My only problem with the fan is you can not change the direction of the fan. We wanted to hang it on the other side of the door way and then the fan would of been blowing air back into the room. I would like two for both sides of the door way if you could get them going in the right direction.

Bought this three yrs ago. It works as described, but the main issue I have is the fan is way too noisy - loud. If we are in the room with guests we must turn it off. If it is just wife and I, she wants it off, I can live with it, but still to loud.

We have a large wood burning stove. It usually gets so hot in the family room and the rest of the house is barely warm. With the fan on, the heat that usually gets bottled up is propelled forward. I have noticed that the temperature upstairs now goes up 5-8degrees.

I use the fan to move heat from the wood stove room to the adjoining room, and it works ok. A bit noisy and unfortunately the cord comes out on only one side, so it cannot be mounted easily to hide the cord. However, for the money, it is wonderful.

This fan would be great if it had a lower, quieter speed and a more consumer-friendly price. We just got another after having one for several years. The first one is still in use and works well but has always been too loud. We were hoping the new one would be quieter but is not. Your description of "quietly" is a bit deceptive.

The fan moved a lot of air and had great circulation. It could not be mounted on the right side of the door without the cord hanging into the doorway. The fan rattled when on high speed.

We use the door way fan to bring the warm air from the den into the rest of the house. The den is where the Earth Woodstove is. My only regret, is that I couldn't find one of these fans sooner. Love It! Love It! Love It! I would recomend it to anyone.

This is the second one of these that I purchased to move heat from a wood stove throughout the house. I worried at its small size but this little guy is a real workhorse. The first fan is still working after 2 yrs and is used in the immediate area of the stove. This one is placed in a doorway and between them both keep the whole house toasty.

Good cord length (thankfully). Does a good job helping circulate warm air from the woodstove area into the next room adjacent to the woodstove location. ONLY one drawback: I just WISH it would run quieter. Correct THAT problem and you will have an exceptional product! I would recommend this to a friend with that ONE reservation.

This fan is being used to draw heat from a small wood heat stove in the main living area into an adjoining bedroom around the corner. I had my doubts whether it would be able to do the job because of the distance from the heat source, so I put it to the test. I cooled the bedroom down to the outside temperature,25 degrees. I then turned on this fan plus the ceiling fan. It took about a half hour to get the bedrm. back to normal temp. (Did I mention the room has cathedral-type ceilings?)
The actual fan(all plastic) is only about 5or6" in diameter but has at least 10 small blades. The on/off switch is located in the cord about a foot down from the fan. Mounting the fan is tricky, but doable. So far it is fairly quiet, about the sound of a summer fan on medium speed. Hi/low would be better.
There is one peculiarity that may just be something to do w/ my fan. When I took the fan out of the packaging box, there was this powerful mildew odor. I set it outside for a day or so, but that didn't help. After mounting the fan, it got worse after I turned it on. I'll give it another week and hopefully this smell will go away on its own.
Overall, I think this fan is a bit overpriced, but I am impressed with the job it's does so far.

It would be helpful if this fan could be mounted to move air in TWO directions. The cord placement does not allow for this. For instance, in the summer months moving the warm air down our stairs and in the winter move the warm air upstairs.
It is relatively quiet and does what the descriptions claims.

When I opened the packing box there was a strong musty odor and when I removed the item from it's box the odor was even stronger. My guess - shipped in the bottom of the hold of a rusty bucket from China. Even now when I run the fan I can still smell it. Hire someone with a good nose. It is possible that the moldy smell could be a health concern.

The most comfortable [$] I have spent. Whether using wood heat or electric it moves just enough air to take the chill out of the corners. It worked so well in our 900 ft mobile home and now it works as well in our 1,800 foot home. It is unobtrusive and efficient. Most stores don't even know a doorway fan exists and we have been using them for 30 years. We bought 4 more for gifts this year.

It's a good idea, this corner fan, and because it's effective in moving the air, I've kept it, but it is quite noisy, and I was disappointed in the color. The brown of the picture would have been much better than the tan color it is.

We got the fan to bring warm air from our sunroom to the living room during winter. Wish the fan would have 2 speeds, low and high, the single speed cools the air coming into the living room and creates a draft. Overall design of the fan is nice and unobtrusive.

We have a wood stove that we needed to move air from the front of house to back and had been using a box fan which always was in the way. The design of this product solved our problem. The design is great because is hangs on the wall. It also works great for moving the air. The only problem we had was the fan blades just broke apart one day while it was running. If this is going to happen then the price needs to be reduced. We have never had any problem with anything we have purchased from Plow & Hearth. Everything has always been of excellent quality until this one. Well you always have lemons.
