I bought these as Christmas gifts for my 2 grown kids and a bag for myself. Naturally, I had to try them out as soon as I got them and I love the colors they give off in my fireplace. I also ordered the crystals which are okay but don't give off nearly as much color as these pinecones do. I just reordered a whole bag for myself!!

I purchased the "Color Cones" as a Christmas gift for my daughter who spent her first Christmas in her own house. She and her roommates plan to toss the cones into their wood-burning stove after spending a day sledding with friends. How fun to watch bursts of color in the fire while sipping hot cocoa with friends!

She'll also be able to use the pretty basket to hold something else once the pinecones are gone, or to restock it with more cones.

The 5 lb bag is the best value. For Christmas, I break down the larger bag in to smaller ones for gifts. I have been doing this for YEARS. People LOVE LOVE getting these as a gift, even if they only camp once a year!! Great for inside fireplaces as well. I love turning new people onto them, sliding them into a fire without anyone seeing and watch their reactions as they notice the gorgeous colors!!
