Bolt Down Bracket System For Pergolas
$99.95
$99.95 - $1599.95
Description
Define your outdoor spaces with the Portland Pergola, and enjoy years of low-maintenance beauty in your garden or on your lawn or patio. The 6'6"L x 6'6"W footprint makes this pergola the perfect fit above a hot tub or use it as a climbing trellis for a small seating area in your garden. Create new architectural elements to your home by using it on a deck or patio for added shade.

Since the Portland Pergola is made of vinyl, you won't have to worry about the maintenance associated with wood structures. The white finish stays beautiful with just an occasional rinsing, and you'll never have to worry about rot or insects destroying the structure. Each 5" x 5" post offers plenty of support, and steel reinforcements make the cross slats extra strong. The premium vinyl also offers an excellent surface for your climbing plants to create color, texture and shade.

Each pergola comes with a 20-year warranty. Assembly requires common tools and two people. For installation on wood decks or concrete patios, use Bolt Down Bracket System (link this to #34803). For in-ground installation, use pressure treated lumber poles as inserts, available at any hardware store. Features:
  • Premium vinyl pergola
  • Durable, low maintenance construction
  • Can be installed in-ground, on concrete, or wood
  • 20-year Manufacturer's warranty

Beautiful and easily adaptable
Comments about Product:
We used this product on our back deck over our sliding glass doors. Since there is a slight overhang at the back of the house, we were able to modify the pergola to allow it to hang out further on one end. It was very easy to assemble and it looks beautiful on our deck. Although we've only had it installed for about a week, I'm sure that it will weather well as it is constructed of PVC.

Create a Beautiful Outdoor Room
Comments about Product:
In these hot sumer days, shade is my best friend. I have always been an outdoors person, and this pergola allows me to continue hat without overheating. the Beautiful grid pattern on the roof allows for a natural look. I personally am growing grape vines overhead to create a poolside paradise.

The Olla: A Brief History

Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.

When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.

The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.

Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!

How it Works:

Water is pulled directly through the terra-cotta!
