I bought the Cobb for my husband who loves to grill and smoke meats and go camping--he can now do all that with one convenient, highly portable cooker.

Cobb recommends using lump charcoal (it looks like chunks of burned wood) rather than briquettes. It does produce higher temperatures and burns longer than briquettes. Having to add briquettes during cooking greatly adds to cooking time since it takes a while to reach temp. To add smoke flavor, we like to use smoke pellets placed in a packet of heavy duty aluminum foil with a few holes poked in.
The one accessory I highly recommend is the extender ring. It makes the cooker tall enough to accommodate a large roaster chicken or racks of ribs.
Just don't expect to cook for a crowd- this grill is about right for three-four adult appetites.

Product was delivered quickly. Only problem the outside box delivered by UPS was a wreck (looked like it was "banged into be a Mack truck), but luckily the main box was in great shape. Only wish Plow and Hearth carried the Cobb accessories also.

This little cooking machine is great for anyone that enjoys quality meat and vegetables while camping or at home.
We love to camp and don't want a large grill.
This grill is small enough to take along and it does a wonderful job of cooking and smoking food.
It is economical to operate and easily operated.
I can't find anything bad to say about this grill. It simply does a great job and I believe we will enjoy using it in the future.

The biggest advantage of this grill is that it is able to be cleaned up in a dishwasher. That way, you are not stuck with bringing a smelly and greasy grill with you. Coupled with the very portable design, this is the perfect grill for an outing. Put a Weber fire starter and 10 Kingsford charcoal briquettes in a zip lock bag and you are are ready to travel! I recommend that you purchase the fenced roasting rack and the griddle from the USA distributor's web site.

A great grill to use in cooking for 1 - 2 people. I find the large gas grills are too unwieldy and wasteful when cooking for a small family or couple. This grill uses a very small amount of charcoal and is handy to use on the back deck or patio. Easily transports to the park or picnic area too.
