Doesn't anyone check these things before they go out to the public? Aside from that, the chairs are very comfortable, with a deep seat (I need an extra pillow because my legs are too short)

It was just as I expected. I ordered this ottoman to go with two club chairs that I had previously purchased. It matched well. The construction is not the best, two of the leg holes had to be re-straightened because the machine had just forced them in. Also the right leg and left leg holes are not drilled in the same place - 1" from the edge on the left and almost 3" from the edge on the right.

We love the product, the fabric and construction. [...]The feet were terribly scratched. Plow and Hearth immediately sent a second pair and they continued to have scratches. We had determined to repair these ourselves.

I'd been looking for a chair and ottoman for a small den and this fit the bill. However, I'm disappointed in how little padding there is in the seat cushion and how low the chair sits which makes it a little difficult to get out of. Love the color (cognac) and fabric.

Fabric is beautiful and feels soft and nice to the touch. However, I agree with another reviewer that it snags easily. I have small children and this is NOT a chair for them. A toy snagged the ottoman within 24 hours of receiving it. The upholstery job on the chair is just average. LOTS of thread strings to pull out or trim, and piped edges/seams are not straight. It sits very firm, but we like that. It also "sits short" so tall folks probably won't care for it. In general it's a small chair, but that's what we needed for the space, so that worked for us. It also sits quite low to the ground.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
