I had been looking for a replacement for ugly, flimsy tomato cages and bought three obleisks three years ago. They are fabulous for tomatoes (the 5 ft size) and look wonderful in the garden when the plants are gone. I'll never go back to the cages.

I am using the product in area where it is hard for anything to grow- its purpose is primarily for decorative enhancement to house. Since I am not a handy person, the assembly instructions for me were poor. It consisted of just pictures. The product was well packaged, but the coating still scratched-which is a complaint that I read in other reviews. For the price and the outside garden purpose of the product, I expected a heavy duty paint covering. The product will most likely rust in a relatively short time where it was scratched. Overall I like the design of the product, and I would recommend it to a friend with the warning that they may have to repaint it in a couple of years.

5 ft height allows for more perfect design. The 7 ft obelisk was not aligned so looks defective.

Beautiful in my garden as is, but can't wait for the vine to fill it in. The finish is just as pictured and looks durable. Great way to add height to your garden. Goes together easily if you start at the top to attach each band. I will be ordering another. Great value.

Arrived in a timely fashion. Product was easy to assemble and looks great however there was damage to the powder coated finish (see pic)
Also the styro foam packing somehow disintigrated and was a major hassle to clean up after unpacking the product

This is the second Obelisk I have purchased from Plow and Hearth. The first was the 5' and the second the 7'. These are easy to put together and should last a long time. My only suggestion: The web site does not make it easy to distinguish the difference between the two color choices. For some this will matter.

This 7' obelisk is a great product, very sturdy, easy to assemble, bought it to support large dahlia blooms on tall stalks, and it works very well. Nice feature of the 7' model is that it assembles in stages, so you can start with a shorter version and add stages as your plant height increases. Unlike other similar products which are more expensive, this one has appropriate assembly hardware (bolts are long enough to fit assembly requirements). Highly recommended for good plant support and nice appearance.

The product came in a box full of styrofoam that had been beat to bits. Fortunately there was a return label so I could mail this back. They don't warn you it comes in 11 pieces (not including hardware). The holes line up for me but all the bolts give it a Frankenstein look. The coup de grace was the too-short finial screw that has sent me to the hardware store. I expect to have it assembled soon but this has been a disppointment

The obilisks are to be used in container gardening at an apartment complex. They will be much more dramatic then the small flat ones I used in the past. Very sturdy constuction, ease of assembly with an "as advertised" finish. Delivery was fast, within 7 days, to my door. I will be a repeat customer.

Just bought all three of the obelisks...Love them!!! I've been looking at them for years and finally got them. Can't wait for Spring so I can plant them. Haven't decided whether to do veggies or flowers...or both!!! The 5' was definitely the easiest to assemble, but none of them was that difficult! Love them!!!

I'm using this more as a deck item rather than in my garden. I had to modify it, but the quality of the product was great and allowed me to do just what I needed. It looks great and the quality of the product shows.

It's helpful to have a dancing partner when assembling this lovely obelisk. It's lovely, sturdy and practical in our SoCal climate.

The obelisk perfectly displays a spreading mandevilla amidst a variety of other flowers. It provides a nice focal point.

I was very pleased with the product. I would suggest some roughness to be added to surface to give vines a hold. I was pleasantly surprised on how sturdy the obelisk was and how easy to place in ground.

I ordered the 5' obelisk to support a shrub rose that has canes that need to be supported. The finish is nice. It was easy to assemble in about 20 minutes. It is very sturdy, but only time will tell tell how well it survives the outdoor's elements. I looked quite awhile to find something suitable for my rose garden. The price is reasonable compared to everything else I could find. I am considering adding the taller model for a climbing rose. The only thing I am unsure of is the legs are "spiked" for inserting into the ground, but I am not sure if this will be enough to keep it from tipping as the rose puts more weight on the unit.

I bought all three sizes of these Obelisks in the bronze. I planted Honeysuckle and Clematis vines which are climbining nicely on these frames. They look really nice in my landscaping.

Used the 5 ft. obelisk for a climbing tropical plant for indoor planter. Very sturdy and well made. I ordered in april, just received 6-24-12. So be prepared to receive it months later after you order. But was happy with purchase.

So what's the color difference between bronze and antique copper? The two colors aren't identified in the photos. Bronze and antique copper are very similar colors in general, so which obelisk in the photo is which?

The product itself is great. But the shipping package was absolutely horrible, though. The box was damaged and the styrofoam inside was completely crumbled. It made a huge mess when taking the product out. We had tiny pieces of styrofoam everywhere. Very cheap shipping package.

It's very attractive and easy to use. I'm using it in a container for my bougainvillea on my deck. The only problem I see so far is the finial on top started rusting withing a couple of weeks.

The Garden Obelisk was very easy to assemble and looks great with my Autumn Clematis climbing on it! This is our second purchase - arbor last year is covered with trumpet vine!

I purchased all three sizes of this Obelisk in the bronze color! Though it took a little time, they weren't hard to assemble. They look great in my landscaped areas.

This is a great product. It's sturdy enough to stay up and undamaged through strong wind and storms. It's tall enough to support taller growing perennial vines. The color is a rich shade of brown & the details on the horizontal bands are very attractive.

Just put together my first 7' Obelisk, and ordered the basket which I thought went with it too. Ordered it in-store, and the cashier thought the basket only fit 5' & 7' models - not so, only the 8' model. I hope there is no issue with me returning these.
