Looking for a long time to find a firescreen to our liking. Really am impressed with the design and have young children and pets who love the fireplace. This screen resolved the sparks and safety issues. Have enjoyed entertaining more as we do not have to worry anylonger! Easy assembly, came packaged properly and not damaged in shipment. We looked at a lot of screens in several different fireplace stores & found most of them to be nice but very overpriced. The P&H catalogue had a really big selection & we loved the fact that it enabled us to read reviews, which really helped to narrow down our search. This screen is a great deal for the price, especially since we had a 20% off coupon! We got the largest size. It was easy to assemble & fits perfectly into the opening. We have a limestone hearth & the legs are balanced perfectly on it. The color isn't totally black though, it's got silver markings all over it & at first we thought the black paint was scratched off. But then we realized that it's supposed to look antiqued so we're ok with it. The doors sit flat on the hearth so when you need to poke at the logs, it's really easy to access them. Also, the allover mesh design really lets the whole fire be seen. We originally had one of those dated brass jobs with glass doors. So glad we replaced it with this one - it made the whole room seem so much homier & warmer!

Looks wonderful and allowed for adjustment to sit well on the uneven brick hearth. I needed to keep my grandson and cats out of the fireplace, but wanted something that fit and added to the decor of the room.

I was very excited about this screen as I'd been searching for somthing appropriate for a long time. The screen itself is beautiful -- was exactly the look I was searching for. HOWEVER -- as soon as I lit the first fire in the fireplace (wood-burning), the left door warped and now will not close completely/does not engage with door's magnetic closure. I'm disappointed and skeptical a replacement may do the exact same thing. This was my first substantial purchase from Plow and Hearth, too. :-( Also note, in the picture it appears to be solid black, but it actually has a antiqued silver finish on top of the black.

It looks much better than the glass doors I was using and more of the fire is visible in the room. The screen is heavy enough to hold a heat loss panel in place.

Has areas of silver throughout that are distracting. I spray painted black with fireplace safe paint which helped greatly. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend.

An attractive screen that provides a little dressiness to the hearth. While not as heavy as some others I've seen, it is durable and secure. I expect to get years of use from it. Assembly is simple and easy.

I had been shopping for a fireplace screen for over a year and I finally decided on this one. I love this screen. The only thing I was disappointed in was I had been expecting a heavier screen, not as lightweight as this one. It looks great on our little fireplace.

It's perfect for the space. My fireplace opening is 33X44, so most ready-made screens are about an inch too short, but this one fits very well. Great purchase....I agonized over this particular screen for months; wish I had bought it sooner.

Bought one fireplace screen and had to return it because it just didn't fit right so I was glad to find this wonderful Celtic Knott Fireplace Screen that turned our old fireplace into a Showplace.
It provides safety and has a fabulous old world cottage charm at a great affordable price.

This is a great screen! We use it with a gas log set. The doors are great for accessing the log controls, but otherwise keeping the dog and grandchildren out of the fire. We bought the large size and it is perfect for our large fireplace. Highly recommend this unit!

I'm using this on a gas log fp. It's a great fireplace screen, way more interesting than what I was able to find in fireplace stores for a comparable price. In fact, it was half or less than the cost of many other screens. I was concerned about remarks about it being flimsy, but I found it to be fine. They get more strength when against the fp. I ordered the large, and wish it were about 6 inches wider. Doors open and close smoothly.

We love our screen. It looks better than I imagined from the picture.I ordered 2 screens and very easily returned the other that didn't look as good with our brick.We haven't had a fire yet because we just bought our screen in the Spring and it was already hot.We can't wait ,but in the mean time it really complements our family room and is unique and appears to be of good quality!

Great screen at a great price. It looks beautiful in my living room. I didn't realized how small my old screen made my fireplace look. This new screen lets you really see the fire and just adds such a sense of drama. I've made more fires since getting this screen than I've made in the last 10 years.

Love it! Love it! Beautiful design, better than I expected. We converted our woodburning fireplace to gas logs and I looked for weeks for just the right screen. The design adds just the right look to our fireplace and the price was very reasonable.

I love that this screen has a curved top, even for a square fireplace it makes for a very nice design. It looks like it is custom made for our very large, 6 foot fireplace. I love the fact that the doors open in the middle so adding logs is so easy. It's just a nice looking, very functional fireplace screen and for a great price!

The first two screens had flaws, i.e. door didn't fit square, spot welds on hinges and cross bar design broke. The screen worked better when I took the two small back braces off. This allowed the screen to fit nicely against the brick fireplace for better stability. If it didn't look so nice, I would have asked for my money back after the second one didn't work. Let's hope the "third time is the charm" The return policy is great, if you want to keep taking the time to repack and wait for UPS to come pick up the package.

The doors are very nice, they fit our fireplace opening well. The one thing I noticed was that the magnets that hold the doors are very strong and that is good but you have to be careful that the screen doesn't pull down when you try to open the door

While not as heavy a firescreen as we bought from Plow & Hearth 3 years ago for our past house, this Firescreen still is very attractive and just fits our fireplace opening. I think the front legs could use a little more adjustability as when they sit on the bricks, the screen is just a little bit off level.

I recieved my screen in the mail last night and I really have to say I am very disapointed. The picture in the add is not the same screen that you buy. The screen that I got is the same design but it was built with smaller diameter steel. I paid [$] for a flimsy screen that should be priced at about $100. I feel ripped off.
