really like this steamer! Heavy duty and has good capacity requiring filling less often. Generates a great amount of steam too! The only shortcoming I've found is that the knob on the lid is much too small. Hard to grab onto, especially when the pot and lid are very hot. Even using a potholder to lift the lid is difficult. If the knob were 2 or 3 times the size it would be easier to handle.

We are using the kettle as a humidifier on top of our gas stove fireplace in the lobby of our 100 year old bank here in Illinois. We get lots of nice comments from our customers. It fits perfectly into our vintage decor. Thanks!

I use this in my cottage where I have a space heater. I just fill with water and put it on top and it humidifies the living room and bedroom.
It is a little heavy for folks with arthritis, though; so be sure to use two hands when lifting and a hot pad. Very attractive looking

No instructions indicated that it should be seasoned before use. First one began rusting after about 2 weeks of use. We sent it back and the 2nd one is doing the same. We will probably send it back too and get one that is enamel-covered.

We gave this as a gift, so they will be able to add moisture to the air when using an old fashioned wood stove. Before this, they just used and old pot. This kettle not only adds the necessary moisture to the air, but does it very stylishly.

Functional on the wood store, but it cracked right down the side within days of use. I still use it but it leaks water now! Bummer.

We use it in the winter to keep the air from drying out because we heat with a wood stove. It doesn't burn the bottom even when we forget to fill it and it dries out!
