I've put one of these on each of my radiators. All you have to do is add water for a continuous addition to your inside humidity and your comfort. You'll breathe better, your skin won't crack or dry as much, and your furniture will thank you as well. Because of the humidity, you can comfortably keep the temperature lower as well. Unlike powered humidifiers which send out a strong burst of steam, this gently adds an amount of steam that will not produce a white film on nearby items. It's handsome enough and highly functional. I just add a quart of water when I see it's getting low. Excellent. (did not allow me to edit pros, cons, best uses)

We have gas heat and the house gets incredibly dry in the winter so I thought I'd give these a try. I got one (the smaller size) for each bedroom and put them on the radiators. We noticed a positive difference within days. The rooms are not dry, but it's not so damp that it's a jungle, either.

I'm not sure why anyone would need to refill the steamer multiple times a day. When our boiler was running at its highest this winter, I needed to add some water once a day, but never more than that.

I will get more of these for the radiators on the first floor of our house. They're functional and attractive.

We replaced our old steamer with this one because it started to rust. We bought the smaller one this time even though it needs to be filled more often. I've only had it for a month...that's why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5, but it seems to be made as well as our first one.

This steamer is much better than the dragon shaped one I bought from Plow and Hearth a year or so ago. This one works well and does it's job (at least so far) the old dragon steamer produced not enough steam/moisture through the two small 'nostril' holes and is already rusting, despite being cared for. I'm much happier with my new lattice streamer.

The use for this product is obvious; it sits on your wood stove and puts steam into your living space to counteract the dry air created by the heat from your wood stove.

We have used these for years. The one drawback is the enamel coating it will flake off eventually and rust will appear and you will either have to get a new steamer or scrape the enamel off and paint it or just sand the rust off and keep using it if you don't care how it looks. That's what I do - just sand off the rust. I have a three quart one, but bought a smaller one for my step-daughter & her husband for their small wood stove. They love it!

This sits atop our gas heater and its red enamel finish adds a cheery touch to the kitchen. I have used it for 2 years and have not had any problem with the finish chipping. My only regret is not getting the larger one as we do refill it a couple times a day!

I really wanted this to work for me. I bought it toward the end of last winter, and it worked well. Now, after another 2-3 months of use, the red enamel coating is chipping away. I've been very very careful in my handling of this steamer. So disappointing!

After the first red cover chipped, I purchased another one and the cover is still chipping. The trivet and bottom of the steamer are fine. The enamel just doesn't seem to be baked on properly. I am the only one moving it to and from the stove and am very careful with it!

I gave this steamer 4 stars because was purchased as a gift and it has not been used yet. It is heavy and the glaze appears to be fully intact so my expectation is that it will serve it's function well. My daughter should like the warm red color and classic style. It is probably worthy of 5 stars once it's tested in use.
