Comments about Product: This plaque is really beautiful. I bought it when we just purchased our first home last month. It gives my country home a little bit of class with its elegance but not too much to make it look tacky... it's perfect. It is made of heavy and durable quality to last for years to come and stylish enough to go with a theme of any type of home. If you are thinking about buying this, do it. I was skeptical on how it would look with the birds on it in front of my house but it is absolutely gorgeous. This will be my wedding gift for all family and friends from this point forward. Also, shipping takes 2-3 weeks and I got mine in exactly 14 days from the day I ordered it. Two weeks seems like forever, but trust me, this is well worth it!
Comments about Product: The plaque is very nice. It is made of quality metal. Wording is perfect for a wedding or shower gift. I have purchased three of these, and all were perfect, but one. On this one, the name of the recipient was crooked. I called, and now I am expecting a new one.
Comments about Product: Excellent product - we installed ours outside our bedroom door in the hallway... there are covenants that prohibit us from displaying on the front of our home. I plan to order several more for friends for anniversaries as well as my son and daughter in law for their anniversary in October.
Comments about Product: Love it....
My parents had one on their home for years. Now, this is for my daughter and husband. They just celebrated their 1st anniversary in August! And, will look perfect on their home.... the first one you see in the neighborhood!
Comments about Product: Purchased as a wedding gift. Bride and Groom both really liked it. Reasonable price, shows some thought went into the gift - not just something off the bridal register...
Two days later on a driving trip, we saw one mounted on a house across the street from the Scopes (Monkey) Trial Courthouse in TN dated 1938! Still in good shape.
Comments about Product: Purchased as a wedding gift for a hip young couple. They loved it and instantly posted a picture of it on their face book page the day after the wedding! I was so pleased with the quality.
Comments about Product: This beautiful plaque is not necessarily just for weddings! We used it as a gift to represent the date an owner-designed and built home was completed (i.e., "established"). It is now by the front door. It looks lovely and classy, and is a big hit with the proud owner and with guests.
Comments about Product: I have purchased 4 of these plaques in differnt styles and color combinations. They are wonderful quality and made to last. I'll certainly order again if I need a great gift. I highly recommend.
Comments about Product: We bought this as a housewarming gift. It was perfect- just the right size and very well made. Installation was fairly easy, though it took additional hardware I had expected to buy. Overall, vvery satisfied with this.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
