Bought arbor for patio entrance. Plan to plant climbing roses to grow over it. Easy to assemble - looks great. Very sturdy. Arrived in a very battered box - had a couple of scrapes here and there, but nothing too serious. Overall, very happy with purchase.

This product was somewhat difficult to put together. It took a litter hammering to make all the parts fit.I bought these because they have a rail on the inside that is the perfect height to use as a hand rail. I placed them over my three sets of stairs that lead to the pool. It was so much cheaper than custom hand rails and looks GREAT! I did add a little extra reinforcing to hold them in place, but they are very sturdy even without.

Dear Friends, I like to be positive, but our experience with you was a bit unfortunate. The package arrived almost in shreds. As a result, all the hardware was missing having fallen out of the holes and rips in the box. The replacement hardware was sent "regular" mail and arrived over a week later. We finally put the gate together and, after only two weeks, here and there it has begun to rust. I know you are a very reputable company and so I trust this was an exception. But it makes me hesitant to buy from you again.

Arbor is a nice design and built well. Packaging was terrible. Parts were loose when the box arrived. The box was tattered and torn too. Needed to take a trip to hardware store for some nuts and bolts. This is the second one I purchased over the years and the first one was top quality and lasted years.

The bag that was supposed to contain the hardware had split, so that about half of the nuts and bolts had disappeared through holes in the corners of the box during shipping, requiring a trip to the hardware store to replace. Other than that, it's an attractive and sturdy entrance to my garden, and I'm very pleased with it now it's assembled.

I plan to put the arbor about 15 feet from my front door and grow climbing flowers, and guests will walk up my walk way through the gate, before walking up to my front door. The arbor is sturdy and decorative. The value is good, and it should stand the test of time. The only down is the color is not burnished bronze, as promised, but black. I'll learn to like it.

I just bought this and assembled it by myself. It is easy to assemble, but you need to be careful that you have the arch parts pointing the the proper direction, as the parts look very similar, and you can easily put them together backwards. A good practice is to screw the parts together loosely and get everything assembled before you tighten everything down, so you can have some wiggle room to make them fit togther properly.

I did not have any problems with chips or nicks in the paint, and the kit included the exactly correct number of nuts and screws. I can see where you might manage to strip them during assembly, but I did not have that problem.

It looks very nice in my yard, and I have planted some clemantis next to the trellis to climb and cover the arch.

I shopped a lot of sites before I purchased this trellis, and it proved a very good value for the price.

This arbor is beautiful with all its scrolls. The finish is coated steel, very smooth and even. It is very sturdy and should hold several heavy vines. The gate helps stabilize it against our winds. I am extremely pleased. Hopefully it will do well during our winter season.

I love this arbor. It is sitting at the entrance of my vegetable garden. The gate is sturdy enough to keep my dog out. Assembly was easy and only took my husband and I about an hour to do. Sturdy, well made and beautiful!! Love it

Easy to assemble and install... however, picture instructions, no words. Make sure the holes line up for cross beams, or you will have to take apart and swap pieces. (Parts may look alike, but holes line up differently.) Otherwise, would have given 5 stars.

I love it! I have always loved everthing that I have ordered over the years. I had to wait 3 days for my husband to get it put together and position in our backyard. I couldn't stand the anticipation of getting started on another great project to enhance the beauty of our yard! We are enclosed around our property now after 20 years of evergeen growth. I wanted my backyard neighbors to always be welcomed! Always great customer service!!

After overcoming the issues with the order processing I received the arbor. This is my second purchase - loved the first one and thought another would look beautiful in my garden. I opened the box to begin to put together and found my order did not contain package of nuts and bolts. Needless to say it prompted another call to customer service. The agent was very accommodating and apologetic and indicated they would be shipped. This is day 3 and still no delivery! What happened to your customer service!! Will have to think twice before I order from you in the future. Never experienced such poor service in the past. Extremely disappointed.

I bought this product about a year ago and was really happy with it. Recently I was walking by it and noticed the "rust proof" hardware was completely rusted and lots of paint had chipped off the arbor and the metal underneath was rusting. It made me so sad. I wanted to double check that it was meant for outdoors and that's when I saw the "rustproof" description in the catalog. I'm going to be calling them to see if there's anything I can do. I do love the way it looks, so I would have happily put a protective spray on it or something if it had recommended that.

Lovely but disappointed with construction. Pieces don't fit together so whole arbor is crooked. Too much work to disassemble and ship back. This is the second product that I have bought from plow and hearth that has not been of quality. They certainly have gone down hill. I think they count on you not returning it!

This arbor was easy to assemble, and would have been quite attractive if there weren't at least a half dozen pieces with substantial chips out of the paint (as in the photo). I'm assuming that with all that bare metal exposed to the elements, I'll soon have a (really rather expensive) *rusty* garden arch. Quite disappointing!

Not difficult to put together, but there were lots of pieces and only picture instructions. It's a little tricky to set level and square with the gate, but worth the effort. If you want all the pieces to match in colour - that won't happen - but vines will distract fro mthe mismatched colours. The gate latch is poorly designed, but otherwise I am happy with it.

My husband and I put this together in about an hour. Directions are minimal, but it's pretty simple to figure out. It was helpful to have a picture from the catalog to guide us. All of our parts and hardware were included and everything was in good condition.

We had a homemade arbor years ago and it's so nice to have another one once again. Very pretty! We got it on sale so it was a good deal too and fast shipping.
