Comments about Product: Easy to assemble, sits evenly on the cement floor, and made of quality material. It took a reasonable amount of time to put together and looks great in our natural area. Perfect for what we needed.
Comments about Product: Very pretty, sturdy bench. Not too difficult to put together if you use a extended Allen wrench. Don't mind the color but might repaint with a 'Rustoleum' spray paint color. Perhaps, Turquoise color or even Bronze.
Comments about Product: I had an empty space near my front door and thought a bench would look welcoming. I ordered the Blooming Garden Bench and liked it so much, I ordered a seat cushion and accent pillow to complement the bench. The look is great and I love it.
Comments about Product: I bought one of these 2 years ago and it went together so easily and was ver comfortable. So, I bought another and they both have held up very well. Great quality for the price.
Comments about Product: It's the perfect gift for my sister. She has an old wooden bench on her front porch and this one looks great in it's place. It took less than a week to arrive, was easy to assemble and it's nice and sturdy. Love the coloring.
Comments about Product: After reading reviews prior to purchase, I was prepared for difficulty of assembly, so it was no surprise that I, too, found it difficult to assemble and still have a bandage on my thumb. I did, however, assemble it myself (70-yr.-old lady) with the help of a step stool.
Comments about Product: This is the second bench like this I've purchased. This one just has a different pattern but same color. Liked the first one so much and we have a place for another, so had to get this one!
Comments about Product: Just started using last week out by the large chicken pen (love watching the hens peck around). I plan on ordering at least one more to place in a wooded area of property & plan to leave them out in all weather--unless I notice the start of rust. My husband put it together w/o much trouble but says it would've been frustration-free if he hadn't been tired, LoL. It seems quite sturdy even tho it's not too heavy to pick up & move. I will place on four paving blocks (each leg) if it sinks into the dirt fr the weight of being used. It really is quite nice, fairly priced & looks like a piece we will get years of use from.
Comments about Product: I love the look of this bench. Color was not a problem for me. Overall I'm very happy except for the rust issue. Early on I noticed it was starting to rust in a number of places just from dew. I have used car polish on it & moved it under a roof to try to solve this problem, but would have preferred to use it where I originally wanted to. I didn't think rust would be an issue since it is aluminum. I would recommend the bench for its looks, but either keep it under a roof or cover it, which somewhat defeats the purpose in my case. Would have given it 5 stars otherwise. I would recommend it to a friend with the rust warning.
Comments about Product: The color online says Bronze, this is more of a copper tone and I don't like it! I often wonder why vendors lie when they are trying to sell their products. I thought these benches were Bronze and not a copper tone. I don't like the color but I am going to keep them. Would I recommend them, I am not sure because I don't want anyone to be fooled like me! The pattern is beautiful that's why I ordered them but the color is another story; it does not go with my door or my color of my shuttles.
Comments about Product: The bench is the nest value for you money. Frame parts are robot-welded. Some side-members have incomplete welds, but engineered so for water drainage.
The directions are the new-age, textless picto-graphs. There's (6) short screws for the seat and (4) long screws for the back panel.
Pre-thread all of the screws into their raised, threaded boss, but do not oil if using Loctite-blue fastener-set.
Best begun with a side arm panel on it's side, then holding (with a helper is ideal) the seat, start the middle short screw in by hand. Then using the Allen wrench in a vertical position, (this is where the Zen focus and patience comes into play) carefully turn the screw in to snug - so that now the seat panel can stand alone.
I recommend applying Loctite-blue on the screw's first 4-threads. Then, when tightening all the screws, do so very tightly. The Allen wrench, installed deeply into the screw-hed won't strip-out. The screw and metal contact surfaces are raised on boss-platforms, thus allowing water to srain from the side panel junctions. Very well engineered indeed.
Comments about Product: We gave it as a gift to our veterinary's new clinic. It was easy to assemble, but my husband used an allen wrench extender to make it go much quicker. It is relatively lightweight, but feels sturdy to sit on it.
Comments about Product: Finish color is not as shown in photo, but is what I expected after reading others comments.
Very happy with the bench. It went together in 10 minutes with two people. Finger tighten screws before using tool provided for easier assembly.
There is one small rough spot on the back that needs sanding but overall I am very happy with the bench.
Comments about Product: Very nice and very attractive in the yard. Beautiful bronze finish and no rusting. A little frustrating to put together since you can only turn the screws a quarter turn each time. Screws in too tight of a space. But, once it's together, it's worth the trouble.
Comments about Product: Even though the description says bronze, in the picture it looks very dark, like black, which is what I expected. It really is a very light bronze color, almost copper. I would not have ordered it if I realized it was going to look like this.
Comments about Product: The bench is in my yard underneath one of our trees. It is so pleasant to look at and it is very comfortable. The only complaint is that the holes to put in the screws didn't line up easily so it was harder to put together than the wooden bench I bought from Plow&Hearth at the same time.
Comments about Product: This bench is a sturdy all weather bench purchased for my front porch. The actual color is copper-toned, not gray or steel-toned as it appears in the photo on this web site. Fortunately, the cooper color did match my home, but I thought it was gray based on the photo. I Easy to assemble!
Comments about Product: Outdoor use that will not tip over with high winds. I was a bit apprehensive when it arrived, since box was busted open on one side at delivery, however nicely packed and taped down so all parts were secured and screws all accounted for. The scrolled green bench cushion was perfect.
Comments about Product: The bench was easy assembly but some of the clearances were a little tight for my fat fingers and required many 1/4 turns while tightening the 10 screws. Once assembled we had a very sturdy, attractive bench which should remain useful for many years. I will have long forgotten the minor assembly issues as I enjoy the product.
Comments about Product: We need to sit on our porch to get our best cell phone service. But with a brick front porch, it can get a little tooooo cold to sit on. This bench fits perfectly on the porch. Ample size to fit 2, but doesn't overtake the porch. I really like the simple scroll for the back rest and the slated seat. This was a great find!
Comments about Product: I bought this bench for my front patio to sit by the front door. I have had wooden benches that didn't last for more than a couple of seasons so I was looking for something that would hold a up a bit better. I put it together in under 15 minutes with the tools provided. It looks absolutely beautiful-love the finish. I threw a nice bench cushion on it which makes for a very comfortable seat. Very good value and would definitely recommend it.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
