Comments about Product: These candles work great!! They go on and off right on schedule, and have been working on the original batteries daily for a month now. I have UV film on my windows, so from the outside they could be brighter, but you can see them, unlike some others I've tried. Some don't like the orangy color of the light, but it doesn't bother us at all. I am so pleased! They are made of plastic, but we have the pewter, and they don't look like plastic when you are back from them a little. Highly recommend.
Too dim from the outside of the house
Comments about Product: I'm disappointed in these. The white replacement bulbs might solve the problem, but I hate to put any more money into them. I'm almost tempted to go back to my cumbersome, inconvenient electric candles to get the brighter, white glow that I like.

Just buy them.
Comments about Product: We bought these 8 years ago from P&H and they were worth every penny. We love them. They even saved our sanity during a 5 day power outage 5 yrs ago. They're just bright enough to softly light a room. Batteries last forever. Worlds better then anything at a dept. store.
Comments about Product: Okay...they arrived and once you put the battery in you are golden. No issues. The mini draw back that I quickly got past was the color wasn't exactly perfect...More like 75% perfect. :) And that was easy to accept as every day when I came home there they were shining in the windows...they looked perfect in pictures and there were no wires and no having to turn on and turn off. :)
Get them...they are so worth it.
So far...soooo good and I am thrilled.
Comments about Product: Okay...I studied these candles top to bottom and made the choice to buy then and am I glad I did. They are slightly more orange than I'd like...but/and I was too cheap to buy the replacements. I firmly beleive that having them go on and off by themselves...no wires or cords hanging anywhere is THE BOMB!
It just doesn't get any better. So I'll order the replacements in the whiter color...but not until they die out. From the outside they actually look like candles. :) I mean..real candles. Go for it. :)
Comments about Product: They are very nice, we had problems with the bulbs however and called customer service and the sent us replacements. Other than that they are beautiful. Will just need to get more bulbs when I get to a store.

Comments about Product: My husband and I recently purchased an antique home and there weren't enough plugs to accomodate electric window candles. I ordered three 4-packs of these candles in bronze. They were the perfect solution! They impart a realistic, cozy glow to the windows. To me, they look more like an actual flame than white bulbs. The timers worked perfectly and although we bought some replacement bulbs, we haven't had to replace any. It's so welcoming to come home to see the windows aglow with light. So glad to have found these. They are worth every penny and one of our best purchases ever!
I might keep them up all year!
Comments about Product: I bought these as a replacement for my old, plug-in kind that had seen better days. These are great! No cords to worry about, the lights come on and go off exactly as intended (no more running around the house twice per night - yay!), they sit steadily on the windowsill (unlike the other ones which always fell over), and the light is nice and strong. I put batteries in them on December 4th, it's currently February 9th, and they're still coming on. The rest of my decorations are put away, but I'm keeping these up until the batteries die, I love them so much. =)
Comments about Product: These were perfect- a soft glow in each window all through the Christmas season and still glowing. I had an extra set of batteries on hand for each candle but they are still working on the first set. That's from the Saturday after Thanksgiving through the first of February. Next year, I will line all 16 up on a table and screw in the tops (to turn them on) at the time that I want them on each day (4 PM). They turn themselves on and off like clockwork.

Comments about Product: These candles are great. Twist down the bulb at the time you want them to start and never have to touch them again for the season. They last about 2 months with good batteries.
Love Them!! Cozy and warm atmosphere
Comments about Product: I have wanted battery window candles for a long time, but never followed through with ordering them. This year I ordered enough for all my windows in my two story colonial house. They look so nice and even though Christmas has come and gone they're still in the windows and haven't needed the batteries changed. At first I wasn't crazy with the orange color, but I got used to it and prefer them over the white now. I ordered 16 candles and all of them arrived in good condition except for one. I called customer service and the very friendly staff sent another one . I'll enjoy them until I have to replace the batteries and then put them away until next Christmas.
Lovely and Fun
Comments about Product: Love the candles and it is so nice to have them come on automatically and turn off as well. It's important to be aware of when you first start them because that is the time they come on from that day on. t2t7s5
Comments about Product: These look beautiful and work great. I have them in my windows and on the mantle. Will probably leave them up year-round!
Comments about Product: Bought these for our new church building. Needed the times for sure and we all love the look. Others have since purchased some for their homes.
Comments about Product: Love my candles and have gotten many compliments on them -- "Where did you find them"? Had one that did not work and it was quickly replaced.

Comments about Product: I purchased 8 of these 3 years ago. I picked the warm, yellow bulbs. They fit perfectly on our narrow window sills. The work beautifully all season long. Highly recommend them!
Comments about Product: I was disappointed that the base is plastic. I guess description did not say. However they seem to work quite well. We'll see how long they last on one set of batteries.
Comments about Product: Love Love these candles, have one in every window.
We love them....
Comments about Product: We purchased 10 and about 3 did not work. (I'm writing this for my wife and I'm not sure of the #'s) We called right away and instantly had replacements in the mail. Pretty rare in today's world. The only thing we are disappointed with is we wish they were a tad brighter. Otherwise, great product. Come on everyday when they are supposed to.
We Love these Candles
Comments about Product: My wife and I purchased these candles (4 Pack) for last years holiday season to replace another companies "C" battery version. The ones from P&H out performed those by not having to replace batteries from Thanksgiving to mid February and still going strong. That is why we purchased another 4 Pack this year. They are awesome with a perfect glow.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
